Freezing On F10 Map

Since I switched VR Headset to the Varjo Aero I get occasional freezes on the F10 map which can last for 2 mins or more.  So far they have always unfrozen after a varying amount of time, but whilst frozen obviously no control inputs can be made so I often crash .  Not sure if it is related to the new headset or whether that was entirely coincidental.  It happens in Multiplayer and in Campaign.

In VR mode, I have noticed when transitioning from F10 map to another F#, I get a major stutter and an almost freeze. I have been able to alleviate this by pressing Esc while in the F10 map and then pressing F1 (or whatever) and then pressing Esc again. For some reason, this eliminates the stutter and freeze. But it is still a severe problem that has just recently come up.

I have just started getting this problem with a Pimax Crystal, OpenXR, MT DCS.

In cockpit it beautiful, no lag at all, hit F10, the map comes up and it becomes a slideshow, literally locks up the entire PC, mouse doesn't even move.

Hit F1 and after a minute or 2 I am back in the cockpit and everything is perfect again.

This happens in both single and multiplayer, tested on both Persian Gulf and Syria.

Funny enough, it doesn't seem to happen on Caucasus in SP.

I have the same issue with a Reverb G2.  Hoping somebody finds a fix.

Same...MT version only. F10, go to map, start to zoom out....Black Screen. 10 secs later, back to map view. Further zoom out and black screen again....for 10 secs or so. F1 back to cockpit...smooth as glass. Hit F10 again...black screen and lock.....aargh. 4080 w/16gb VRAM....system is I7 13700, all data ssd's, 128gb DDR5, cpu affinity's set. ST works great...but MT F10 map use is baaaaaad. Any fixes???

Same issue for me, switching from F10 Map to anything other view, F1, F2... Always freezes my whole PC for a few seconds. I'm on MT version (Not VR).
