Nealius Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Compare the first picture taken with "Overcast and Rain 3" preset, where airport lighting is illuminated, to the second picture taken with "None" preset, cloud density 9, precipitation "thunderstorm," where airport lighting is not illuminated despite worse visibility. Note: Supercarrier lighting and CASE III functions normally with the same legacy static weather setting, indicating a terrain issue rather than a weather system issue. 1
Flappie Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 I've made a few tests. Lights are on actually, but we can't see them from here. It seems the thunderstorm clouds have a less transparent than rain clouds... 9 + thunderstorm.trk 9 + rain.trk 1 ---
Nealius Posted February 13, 2024 Author Posted February 13, 2024 (edited) @Flappie in my instance lights were off, however in a later test they turned on once contacting the tower for landing, which differs from the default logic of them being on at all times during low visibility.
