Jimbo357Mag
Hi Looking for a new gaming chair and have my eyes on these two noblechairs - HERO - your competitive advantage | noblechairs COUGAR ARMOR EVO - Gaming Chair - COUGAR (cougargaming.com) Any one with experience with any of the chairs Please come with your input. What is good and what is bad and why? I know there is a hell of a lot of other brands, but I have locked my self on these two. Br. Jimbo
Mordants
As someone who has a Secretlab chair who changed to locking castors, I would think about either locking castors or someway of anchoring yourself when oprating the rudder pedals if you have them. Slippa
RED ALERT! Whatever you do, don’t give anyone any money for a Noblechairs Hero. I’ll go further, don’t accept one if it’s delivered free to your door with a box of chocolates and a crate of beer. I bought the Noblechairs Hero a couple of years ago. The country was in ‘lockdown’, I couldn’t go anywhere to check out what I’d be getting so ended up watching and reading loads of tediously boring reviews. I narrowed it down to about three or four. Something like: Secretlabs, Noblechairs Hero, Herman Miller etc. I got so sick of researching chairs I started watching DCS tutorials and reviews. Among the DCS stuff was a fella, apparently a retired RAF instructor, flying DCS doing Carrier ops. He also had a video review on the Noblechairs Hero and rated it pretty well. I didn’t want something with stencils or gaming logos emblazoned all over my chair and the Hero looked smart enough and had good reviews as being solidly built, adaptable and comfortable. What a crock of <profanity>e. it’s built like a tank. I’ve not sat in a tank but I’d guess it’s more comfortable than sitting in a ‘Hero’. The only thing heroic about it is the damage it’s doing to my arse every time I so much as look at it. I’m getting a backache just thinking about it. I’m on the search for a chair myself now. Almost £400 down with an obelisk of a chair (it’s enormous) in my room and I’m desperately in need of a change. Honestly, if I had a comfortable replacement I don’t think I’d charge anyone to take my ‘Hero’ away. It’s rock hard. The seat, the back, all of it. Rock solid. So uncomfortable, it’s actively giving me more trouble with my back than I already had. It’s wide too, so if you’re 20St or so with a pair of prize-fighters for arse-cheeks, this is the very job for you. Don’t buy one. Unless you like sitting on something less comfortable than a church pew. As you can tell, I don’t really have any strong feelings on the subject one way or the other. I’m sure they’re just dandy. - Seriously, they should be taken to court, trade descriptions act thrown at them and whoever ‘designed’ them should be forced to bloody sit in one of those things every day of their lives as punishment. So, maybe something else? Locking wheels I wondered about too and I asked about them for the Hero, I don’t think they do them but on carpet at least, it barely moves. Tzigy
Dude. Monstertech. Pricey but ultra high quality and all the perks u can possibly want. The cutout for a stick, narrow back for VR, etc. I love mine. Also have an XL GT Racing, liked it well enough. 1 TM Warthog MFG TIR5 GT Omega Pro/ButKickerx1/WheelStandPro Playseat/ButKickerx2

Yeah I heard they were a bit hard to sit on in the beginning, But after some time they should be loosen up and be more plesant to sit in. How long did you use the chair? and was there no way it got more pleasant over time? Regarding the wide seats I just looked at it, and agree, so mybe the Legend mode. Looks more slim, but agree if its still a plank to sit on then i can not switch the Auto Pilot on and take a nap on my way to a mission

Still dont know how they are to sit in. Still need to also be able to do normal office work and running a Teams meeting without having a Joystick up my nose But I admit it looks awsome. It’s still the brick house it was when we bought it. I reckon I could drive my car over it and the car would come off worse. It’s more stubborn than my missus of over 30 years. There comes a time in life when a man has to either suck it up or chop it in for a new one. I’m keeping my eyes peeled and the piles cream ‘handy’. Seriously, if you get a chance to try one… no, scrub that, don’t even try it. Move along, nothing to see here . I wish us both luck in our reconnaissance missions. Jimbo357Mag
Thanks all for your Input It was much appriciated So here is a littel update. Dispite Slippas Hickup regarding Noblechair. I actually went for one. Not the Hero but the Legend model. Reason: It was slim a closer to monstertech chair so I can look around and push buttons while in VR mode. It had an inbuild Lumbar support It looked good and got some damn god reviews. So after having put together I must say that the quality looks very nice Stitchings, finish etc. all looks very nice. So now after having spend an hour in it so far it feels fine to sit in, but as Slippa wrote it is pretty firm, but not that unplesant at all to sit in, It feels like a tool and not a Sofa i must admit, but I kind of like it. The Inbuild Lumbar Support fits me very well with my 1.80 m. But it´s not adjustable in hight so it might not fit all. I will now order som Weels that can lock, and then a table mount from MonsterTech, and I should be off in my A10
Slippa
Glad to see you found something. I hope it’s better than the ‘Hero’. I’m not gonna buy anything until I’ve tried it out first. Getting harder to find the chairs I’m interested in that aren’t just online somewhere and don’t have a shop. Looks like Noblechairs have some sort of deal, they’ve done something with a Mercedes AMG seat I’d have a look at if I could sit on it. That, or grab something out of the scrappy. I probably would if I were building a sim-pit but not for now. Merc seats are perfect for me, don’t think I’ve been more comfortable driving in any other motor. Mind you, my old GTI Recaros were lovely. Mmm, must stop reading those sim-pit build threads, you can see where my mind’s going. Hope yours stays comfy, I’m still looking. You are right Its impossible to find a "Real Shop" where you can try it out. But take a look at the return polices for some stores. The preivious chair i bougt, A Cougar Agro One, I had not tried it first I was a funky looking ergonomic gaming chair and after i had assambled it, it was terrible to sit in. the Store had a 30 day try out period where you could return it, if it was in good condtion. I did and got a full refund. The one I bougt here was from another store without the same service. So a bit nervous when I got it. But I have now spend a couble of hours gameing, and so far my ass feels fine. Real firm to sit in but not too much. I feel it gives me the support i need need. Even my Wife are now useing it when she works from home.... She had never done that with my previous chairs.....Thats actually a bad thing... I am not going to build my own seat. My gaming room is too small to have a bloody Car seat in it. And I know for sure, that if I gonna build it it would look like crap. Good luck with your search mate.
