Ramstein Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 Video or files, threads, explain how to use F-15E TGP pod in A-G, with/without the IR/night pod ? I am trying to use the TGP with the video as I fly and ID and lock targets for weapons, but no matter how hard I work on trying to ID what I am looking at it is very hard to ID and get a clear look at targets, regardless if I zoom in for a closer look. The video quality looks terrible. Yes, it is in Beta. Of course I am proabably not doing something right, always more settings to use. Tenkom Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 The problem is the tgp pod we have atm moment is <profanity>. That's not because it's beta. The simulated pod is very old tech so it's supposed to be that way. Same as the Tomcat I believe. If you haven't done so push the "EXP" button on the right side on the TGP screen. That will give you an extra zoom step, sort of, which might help in some situation. Good news is we will, eventually, get better TGPs. Although at the current rate of development it might take a while. 6
Deano87 Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 It’s not a bug - it’s a feature!!! Can’t wait for the LITENING. Might actually be able to ID something. 4 Proud owner of: PointCTRL VR : Finger Trackers for VR -- Real Simulator : FSSB R3L Force Sensing Stick. -- Deltasim : Force Sensor WH Slew Upgrade -- Mach3Ti Ring : Real Flown Mach 3 SR-71 Titanium, made into an amazing ring. Ramstein Posted February 16, 2024 Author Posted February 16, 2024 I found a Video Casmo TV (youtube) for the TGP on the F-15E. I like it. But, I am going to change some of my Hotas setup to match his. The one that projects the FLIR image on the HUD and I think also houses the TF radar? I'm a little confused as why that would have anything to do with the targeting pod 1

I haven't been flying the F-15E much lately and am coming back to find and fix the issues I have with the pods, right now my Flares and Chaff are not working... I will visit my TGP pod issues again soon. I think my thoughts were about seeing targets clearly with the pod. Q3ark Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Hey dude, the LANTIRN pod doesn’t have a daytime tv camera (visual camera) only IR. It’s the same pod as fitted to the Tomcat.
