Not sure if the next hot patch fixes this (DCS currently giving Error 500).

Power on TGP as part of pre-flight.

Get into the air, activate the JDAM 2k Penetrator.

Toggle on TGP and OFF screen.

Only way I seem to get it back is to power the pylon off and on, wait.  Eventually get some soft of Not SOI screen.  Eventually get enough of a menu to select AG and get the TGP to work.

If you rearmed on the ground you need to set RIGHT HDPT to OFF and then ON again, then wait for TGP to power up.

Hi thanks for chiming in but this happens even in a new jet.  Something has changed in the TPOD start up process and it takes a very long  time now.

Can you post a short track? Cause I don't have a problem in new jet.

I've intermittently had this same problem. Toggling power in the air gets it going.

Yes, it happens to me every time.  It seems to take 5-6 minutes to finally power on.

Hopefully they fix this soon.

If you turn the hardpoint power on before the jet fully starts it will not power on.

I started turning both hardpoints on later in my start up procedure, like after I start INS, and they've been working fine. It does take a couple minutes to come on but I figured that was normal/functioning as intended.

For DCS purpose, wouldn't this be a bug then? I understand irl this could be a factor - but for DCS if the hardpoint is power on, regardless if before or after the TGP is re-armed/loaded onto the jet... one would think the TGP will power on. I am not seeing why DCS simulates one to cycle the power switch off and then back on during a re-arm sync of the TGP.

ED please advise.

Maybe? I think the HTS still powers on if you turn the hardpoint on before starting the jet, so possibly. Agreed that, If you do a re-arm without turning them off, the hts pod will still work, but the tpod will need to be power cycled before it will come on. No idea if this is true to life, or a bug, or what. Just stating the current case as I've experienced it.

OK, turning the power to the right hand TGP mount after the engines and electrics seems to do the trick. I was in the habit of switching this on nearly first thing, in case I forgot later. Never mind. I can live with this, assuming it's realistic.
