YoYo Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Next feature, I really hope it will be as well. CH-47 can do this. This is an example of quite large immersions, but it is also a practice to open the ramp just above the water and pull the pontoon in and out with a winch. 3 Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro

MAXsenna Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Would be nice, but a user here with real life experience, wrote that the maintenance after such an op was quite extensive. Just sayin'. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 1

Slippa Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Happy to report I’ve been snorkelling in it . I’ve had a look around underwater, haven’t seen any fish or sea-life yet but I’m getting better at keeping the waterline around eye level. We (I) desperately need to be able to get access for vehicles. We could launch ribs with marines. I could do with a couple of scuba tanks and flippers as it’s breaking my immersion being immersed for so long without turning blue. If we had lilos and inflatables we could launch those too, maybe even a bouncy castle? For humanitarian missions of course. 1
47_Driver Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Unfortunately is prohibited to land on water these days due to the addition of so many avionics to the aircraft. She can still do it if needed, and can still float. We're just not able to conduct a lot of these tasks anymore. Can absolutely still do all the Soft Duck, Caving Ladder, etc stuff. I believe the D model was the last Chinook variant that was permitted to land on water outside of emergencies. 2 1
