I stil rock the Warthog but this got me interested because of the adjustable spring tensioners. I like the stick hard for jets but in the Huey it gets tiring. Imagine just turning down the tension. Would be nice.

L'importante non è stabilire se uno ha paura o meno, è saper convivere con la propria paura e non farsi condizionare dalla stessa. Ecco, il coraggio è questo, altrimenti non è più coraggio ma incoscienza.

This was my first thought as well. I dislike the plastic gimble when it comes to tighten and untighten the nut of the stick. Having a detailed look at the videos the upper edge of the thread shows a white surface. So it could be aluminum which is painted black.

Edit: The nut isn´t the worst, extensions are, because tighten them brings more force on the thread.

Thrustmaster has been out of the game a while lets hope that they bring new innovation and not play catch up!

Finally. What took them so long? Already in the Cougar era precise gimbals existed to replace the dreaded Cougar gimbal.
That the spring tensions are adjustable per spring is a nice touch compared to the Virpil and VKB bases.
However, it needs a baseplate.

Edit: Ah, baseplate is sold separately.

It will, don't worry, the AVA base has two groups of four threaded holes, and one of them is compatible with the Warthog plate:

Looks like it... the screw holes of the warthog are much closer together than this:

And the AVA base is a bit wider (about 4 cm)

Edit: Oh, never mind, didn´t see that drawing...

The problem with the plastic gimbal was more with the fact that the ball wear over time having caused problem of lock on axis for some user. I agree thread too, but well i don^t change the stick really offtly.

I don't think that they keep the sambe ball design is a problem when looking that all the friction is on the springs now. Price is a bit high i think as it is now, but looking really to it. The base should fix most of the problem of the actual base. I wait on actual reviews of it

Even if it is expensive, it is a big win for consumers in places where importing things yourself is cost-prohibitive. They now finally will get an option in their local stores, which is (most likely) an actually good product.

And it's also a win for less savvy consumers who get the most expensive thing in the store. They would get a Warthog set before, so now they get something actually good.

Ahhh yes, I remember my Evenstrain titanium gimbals fondly. I still miss that stick, but I sold it when I bought my Warthog.

Amazon says mine should be here Thursday. Amazon isn't shipping them until the 22nd. I need to finish my left console and get ready to fly again. Photo is missing the K51 trim box to the right of the throttle.

It used to look like this, that is the K51 trim box behind the throttle.

Did you change your springs over and the plate or did you leave it as stock?

Received mine today.   Changed to aero cams and medium springs.  10 cm extension on a warthog.

A little loose in the center this way.  Mostly due to the weight of the warthog.

I bought the offset adapter but that didn't arrive today.   With that I'm probably going try the heavy springs for warbirds,  and I'll try lightening them with the adjustment for helecopters.

Huge improvement so far over the original bar.  Was using 30 for curves on x and y.  Now at 15, and might drop to 10.
