baldeagle611 Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Help me out here guys! Bought a brand new PC. Installed DCS and ut's looking fantastic). The trouble starts when I switch on Opentrack. It runs extremely slow, with what I can only describe as a vertical 'wiping' effect as the screen refreshes when I move my head around. It all ran fine on my old mac/bootcamp) system. So I can't figure what could be wrong as I haven't done anything different this time as far as I'm aware. It happens on all planes too. Specs below: Windows 11 Home Motherboard: Asrock A520M CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU 3.4GHz (4.6 Turbo), 8-Core CPU Cooler: AMD Stock Cooler ) RAM: 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3000mhz 2x16GB NVME SSD: 1TB Kingston NV2 PCIE 4.0 NVME SSD 3500/2100 MB/s Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER 12GB Power Supply:750W GameMax Networking: WiFi/Bluetooth PCIE Card PS Eye camera Any help would be appreciated!
razo+r Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 You mean screen tearing? Do you have any sync enabled (VSync, GSync, FreeSync)? If no, try it with sync on.
baldeagle611 Posted April 30, 2024 Author Posted April 30, 2024 No. Haven’t tried that. Will give it a go later.
Flappie Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 You can also try this in the NVIDIA control panel: menu "Adjust Dekstop size and positioning", choose "Perform scaling on GPU". Other tips here and there. ---
baldeagle611 Posted May 1, 2024 Author Posted May 1, 2024 Thanks guys. Turning on vsync has fixed it. 1
