warmachine79 Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 When I start the Mirage I try to be really careful with NWS. I roll, hit NWS, bring the Jet exactly to the right position and then deactive NWS. I then hit the afterburner and the first few meters it goes straight, but then it will turn and wreak havov on itself. The NWS is actually locked then, as I cannot countersteer so that is not the problem. But what is the problem then?
=36=Witcher Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 The NWS will stay locked at whatever angle you disengage it. Make sure to run a few meters straight before disengaging it. 1
warmachine79 Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 I will try. Have I possibly ruined sth with the rudder? I am using a Winwing rudder. And I cannot even steer the AH64 properly in the "rolling takeoff" training mission.
FusRoPotato Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 It's bugged. The NWS steering power is supposed to be reduced while approaching 40 kts based on weight on the nose gear, but they goofed and grouped the aerodynamic rudder force together with it. As a result, the rudder has zero authority until you get enough speed to pull back and reduce weight on the front wheel. Keep the stick held back as a workaround and you might get some control back around 80 kts. 1
DmitriKozlowsky Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 M2KC NWS turns off at above 40 knots ground speed. Upon landing, it won't engage untill ground speed falls below 40 knots ground speed. Between 100 and 45 knots M2KC has a bug where rudder aythority with weight on wheels is near zero. So you will steer with differential braking. Even then, expect to run off the runway with slightest crosswind. Popping chute won't help. It is a bug that RAZBAM has so far failed to fix.
DmitriKozlowsky Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Stick full back on landing roll , AFTER weight on all wheels, does help with landing roll veering off runway. partially. It still pulls heavily, and even full differential brake on opposite direction of veer, does not fully arrest veer. Basically I don't count on picture perfect centerline all the way to 40 knots. At 40 knots NWS has authority. You just have to survive the 80-40 knot speed range on the runway. RAZBAM has to fix it. Regarless of RAZBAM's argument with ED.

Despayre Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 -1000 I don't work for free, and neither should they. I'm not updating this anymore. It's safe to assume I have all the stuff, and the stuff for the stuff too.

As far as I understood, they were paid ok for their first module, which was the M2000. Also, this thing about not having been paid... we don't really know anything for real, do we? I am not gonna make any bold statements like yours until I know the truth. Edited September 16, 2024 by Volator 1 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

Akiazusa Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 (edited) I think this bug has already been fixed in the last update...... I can take off with 25kts(the crosswind limit of m-2000c) crosswind now with no problem. It has already been fixed, but just not mentioned in the game change log. Also I think the reason of Mirage 2000 is still getting update after the mess is because Spoiler the developer behind it is also a Mirage 2000 lover and gamer who loves and flies his own baby. Just a slight x-wind, but I didn't notice anything unusual. Looks like it is reslly fixed. I'll try again today with more wind. 1 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Volator Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 (edited) I tried with a 20kts direct crosswind and encountered no problem, take-off and landing worked as it should. This issue really is fixed, thanks RB (or the dev behind the M2K)!!! Edited September 17, 2024 by Volator 1 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
