Warthog Base Alternative that accepts TM F16 Attachment

Hi all

Ive had two Warthog bases and both bricked when following to the letter the Firware update. (tried the Bootloader method on both with various W10 and W11 machines, doesnt work)

Ive pretty much had it with TM so im wondering is there an alternative base that i can use my TM  F16 stick with?

Thanks

IIRC, Virpil, though the brake lever will be a switch, not an axis (but I believe this is already the case with a TM base)

Virpil WarBRD base.
If you drill new holes on your TM baseplate you can use that to mount your Virpil base on it because i found the Virpil base plate not stable enough when doing rough manouvres.
Also, the TM stick is a lot heavier then the plastic Virpil stick so you need the heavy springs set mounted in the Virpil base to prevent is from leaning forward.
But... once that is done you're all set and you'll notice the Virpil base is way much better then the Warthog one.
If using TM Target you can get it to recognize the Virpil base as a TM base.

Or get the new TM AVA base.

Aside from what has already been mentioned above by Lange_666 and Nightdare:

  • Winwing bases are compatible with TM grips, if you add the Winwing conversion piece (I think it's sold by them for about $50
  • The RealSimulator FSSB base is compatible with TM grips

The new FFB base from MOZA will most likely also be compatible with TM sticks.

Technically yes. I tried this for a short time, but it always felt like the TM stick is really not meant for that kind of stress. It didn‘t break, but I am sure it would have at least developed play over time. I went ahead and got the RS stick instead.

I have the AVA base, it is really nice compared to the WH. It does fit the WH base table mount. If you are worried the shaft on the stick might break get the 3D printed collar off ebay.

With some of the other bases you either need an adapter, or you remove two screws from either the WH stick, or the base connector. Can't remember which.
