In ACM modes except GACQ and caged WACQ, commanding the current ACM mode again while tracking a target will drop the lock, ignore the original target for 2 seconds and lock another target within the search volume. If no other target is found after 2 seconds, original target can be locked again (if its still within search volume).

Bump in AACQ, while having STT on a target if you command AACQ (SCS towards Radar), radar will go into AACQ and ignore the original target for 20 seconds. During this search the logic is same as AACQ. If couldnt lock a target within this exclusion window, radar can pick up the original target again.
This can be used consecutively until desired target is locked. If A-B-C-D 4 targets are available, and you bump again after locking B, radar will reject both A and B and find C or D. Each trackfile has its own exclusion timer.
While in Bump AACQ (no STT, scanning), if you command Bump AACQ again, you'll be removing the exclusion windows on the same order you locked them. If you locked A-B-C and searching for D, each bump will remove A-B-C's exclusions in the same order.

Now thanks to this description I was able to test it. It works like a charm specially the Bump in AACQ while in STT from a RWS AACQ mode. Going DMS right jump from target to target across all the available targets in the scope, which is great because sometimes the radar prioritize some weird targets over that super fast super high bandit coming to you with bad intentions 🙂

I noticed that as long as the HMD knob is turned on (even if HMD is off via Recce Event Mark button), the 2 secs of target ignoring does not work for BST and VACQ. Is this correct as is?

I'll check it out but as far as I know it does not sound correct.

Well yeah you're right, i confuse terminology between USAF/Navy and i have an F16 joystick so i actually use the DMS hat for the SCS

Hey, I couldnt replicate it in VACQ, but I did in HACQ/boresight, so reported that one internally.

VACQ is ok. But Boresight still not fixed as the 2 secs is still absent whenever HMD is on (HACQ mode). Track attached.

ACM BUMP - BST 2s absent with HMD but VACQ ok .trk

Yeah, I've bumped my report just couple hours ago about this. Needs some digging into documents still, I'll keep an eye on it.
