MetaBaron Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Hello there, I've been really enjoying this sim for a while - eventhough I fly most of the time in game mode and only learning little by little to fly in real mode... I'm having a small problem when, after having used all my weapons during a campaign mission (middle of 1st Georgian campaign actually), I return back home or any farps in the area in order to rearm, I ask the ground crew to rearm - which they do - to put electric ground power on - confirmed by message - and after that when I launch the easy engine start procedure - with all switches activation done automaticly ( :music_whistling:) - I constantly get the ekran message saying that I should check the main rotor oil/hydraulic pressure and the engine start procedure fails... (I noticed that asking or not for ground electric power has no effect on the failure - in "game" mode at least !!). Any idea of what I'm doing wrong here ? I've checked a bit this forum, around 50 pages 'till now, but so far found nothing about this matter. Thanks for any help or suggestions. element1108 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I couldn't answer this question directly...I never shut down the bird when re-arming. I land, request refuel (if needed) and re-arm all while the ship is ideling. Now that doesn't answer your question and for that I'm sorry, perhaps don't shut down and you won't have that problem?
viper169th Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Hi MetaBaron, I wouldn't think you'd want to shutdown the engines for rearming and refueling only because during the shutdown your engine need to idle for a couple minutes by that time you'd already be rearmed and refueled I use the regular startup procedure and shutdown and can't really speak for the autostart but I know IRL they do this while the engines are running when they are going straight back out Sincerely, Viper169th
nemises Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 The Autostart procedure is simply a script that "toggles" switches, and assumes that the cockpit is in the FULLY powered down state (ie post load) ... if a couple of your switches have stayed on, then the autostart script could consivably turn them off. so, either: 1) do not power down the shark for re-arm, simply slect the ground radio channel, and then request weapons/fuel whilst still spinning the rotors. 2) use the full powerdown "cheat" (win+delete?) to power down.....and wait for it to fully complete before executing the powerup cheat :) ..option 1 is the better option!

MetaBaron Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 Alright, thanks guys for your fast and usefull answers. I thought that I needed to power down for rearming the bird. I think I tried that already and was not getting any answers from ground crew while the engine was still on, but maybe I did not wait long enough. I will try option1 and see what happens. Thanks again and good hunt :) ATCS840, Antec Quattro 1200W, Asrock X370 Taichi, R5 3600X, 2x8Gb FlareX C14, RX5700XT Nitro, 3x26" 5760x1200, TrackIr 5, TM Warthog No331, Saitek Rudder.
MTFDarkEagle Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) When your engine's (or APU) are running and you want to talk to the groundcrew, you need to switch the radio selecter to "ground crew" on that rotator button. its the rotator button right below the engine-start selector. ##: See post below from Viper Edited May 10, 2009 by MTFDarkEagle 1 Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread

MetaBaron Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 Yeah that's what I was missing, thank you DarkEagle and Viper. I just press LAlt+c for clickable cockpit mouse, switch the radio for groundcrew and everything works like a charm, now I can get the payload I want :). Thanks again :)) ATCS840, Antec Quattro 1200W, Asrock X370 Taichi, R5 3600X, 2x8Gb FlareX C14, RX5700XT Nitro, 3x26" 5760x1200, TrackIr 5, TM Warthog No331, Saitek Rudder.
