Nedum Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 (edited) Hi, since the latest Update, in some missions I have an overly loud sound noise if I am communicating with the AWACS. In some Missions, that loud background noise will never disappear (F16 Afghanistan Quick Action Mission Air to Air), so I have to set the Sound for the Channel 1 to off. The Background is in some cases so loud I can't really hear what was said. It's sounds like I am on the wrong Channel, or the AWACS or Tower is too far away, so I hear this loud overlay noise. Is this a bug? null Edited July 13, 2024 by Nedum CPU: AMD Ryzen 7950X3D, System-RAM: 64 GB DDR5, GPU: nVidia 4090, Monitor: LG 38" 3840*1600, VR-HMD: Pimax Crystal, OS: Windows 11 Pro, HD: 2*2TB Samsung M.2 SSD HOTAS Throttle: TM Warthog Throttle with TM F16 Grip, Orion2 Throttle with F15EX II Grip with Finger Lifts HOTAS Sticks: Moza FFB A9 Base with TM F16 Stick, FSSB R3 Base with TM F16 Stick Rudder: WinWing Orion Metal
darkman222 Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Same here. Could not identify it. Only happened in Afghanistan though. Turned the radio down completely, which works if you are flying as singleton on the map. But together with teammates its not a solution. I thought it was a multiplayer issue only. Apparently not.
drspankle Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 I'm getting the same on Caucuses MP using 4YA servers. Also, my PTT for in-game DCS comm no longer has any effect, even though the key bind still registers in settings as R1 PTT. Dr Spankle
ED Team Solution BIGNEWY Posted July 17, 2024 ED Team Solution Posted July 17, 2024 Hi all, this is a global issue not just for the viper, and it is reported. There is a long period of static type noise when the ATC should be talking, the team are aware and working on a fix. Thank you 2 2 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
