Hello. While I'm starting up the jet for mission one, the tanker S3B that starts off to my right taxi's forward and makes a left turn just in front of my aircraft to get to catapult 4. However, somewhere along the way he gets stuck/stops to avoid a collision right in front of my nose and I am unable to taxi out/begin the mission.

This issue is still here with DCS AI, but here is a workaround to continue to rest of the mission...

After you start your engines and release the parking break do a HARD right turn.  The F-14 should just barely clear the tanker.  Then let the tanker take off and continue the mission.

@[ED]Ben any update on this please? The SC taxi logic broke many campaigns and this absolutely needs to be fixed. Thanks!

Yeah, just tried mission 1 to start the campaign and the S-3 taxies right in front of my nose and stops. Tried to make a hard turn to the right but keep clipping him. Haven't tried the hard left hand turn though... Hope it gets fixed right away...I spent months training for this campaign in the F-14A, most of that training on night quals.

Have you reported to ED? Because the people responsible for AI pathfinding won’t ever check my forum section.

Automated startup to quickly (skip INS alignment) taxi out of the way before the S-3 taxies in front worked for me. Waited for S-3 to launch, then taxied to cat 4, however unfortunately i cannot launch even when 'saluting'...this is after successful responses from the checklist and a 'ready to go' confirmation from the pilot. Tried both radios on channel 6 but no joy.

The ability to launch or the lack thereof is core supercarrier logic, I have no influence in the mission editor. Remove all unofficial mods if you have any and run a repair.

 

@[ED]Ben any updates please? Such a mission breaker bug shouldn't be left unfixed for 4 months now. Thanks!

Apologies, i am an idiot - i neglected to turn on the internal lights during case III launch so the deck crew could see my salute, and also neglected to flash the external lights...mission works just fine now
