GGTharos Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Installed it, but I can't get it to work. No errors in Error.log. I press ctrol-kp0-kp1-kp7 together but nothing happens ... where is this key combo defined anyway? Also, why are you reding from/writing to a file instead of using a variable? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
TekaTeka Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 I tried it, and it worked. To activate, you press ctrl-keypad0, then keypad1, then keypad7. To deactivate, you do the same. Your wingman/men's lights also flash. Cool ! I didn't think this could be done. Nice job, Jetfire. TekaTeka from Japan [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Visit my site Beyond Visual Range.

ThirdELTPoznan Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 It doesn't work for me also :/ GROM- Grupa Reagowania Operacyjno Manewrowego
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Now we need some bright spark (no pun intended) to figure out how to do:- 1) brighter lighthouse lights 2) flashing lights (and brighter too?) on navigation hazards - chimneys/TV towers etc That would be well cool.... jj_pt Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Still can't get it to work  Are you activating the keys when inside the cockpit? [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
Merlin Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Are you activating the keys when inside the cockpit? That was my problem, make sure you are in cockpit when you do it.
ThirdELTPoznan Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 That was my problem, make sure you are in cockpit when you do it. I am in cockpit always (I have external views turned off) I do everything like it was said before and nothing. I am flying in 1.1 moded demo, maybe that's the reason?? TekaTeka Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 I am flying in 1.1 moded demo, maybe that's the reason?? Yes. The mod works only on 1.02. It modifies some unique LUA files that 1.02 uses. TekaTeka from Japan [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Visit my site Beyond Visual Range.
ViperVJG73 Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Yes. The mod works only on 1.02. It modifies some unique LUA files that 1.02 uses. Yes, the same LUA files are in the demo 1.1. That it not works is pending from the cockpit light, what does not operated in 1.1 with "L" key. greetings Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.
Jetfire Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 When you press ctrl+keypad0, your view should lock in the cockpit (cockpit view toggle). If you changed this cockpit view toggle key, just press the new key you assigned it to. Also, this only works in 1.02. I haven't had any luck getting export.lua working in 1.1. Also, SK, if you know (or if anyone here might also know): is there any other ways to capture keyboard inputs with Lua scripts? You would think there would be. It would be kind of a hassle to make a program that uses directinput to capture keystrokes then pass it to LockOn.
diveplane Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 awesome awesome work guys, just add ARCHERS nav light mod also and we have great looking lights that now flash also...... great work, dev team should add this mod in 1.2 https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
Prophet_169th Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 I havent installed yet, but I saw Mustangs I think flashing. About the lighthouses, that would be awsome. And flashing lights at the runway. If we had animated lights for the runways that would be great =)!
Allochtoon Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Didnt know this method was also possible, i got the same results (i presume) by just using saiteks software to create a lights on, lights off macro.
Guest ruggbutt Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 i got the same results (i presume) by just using saiteks software to create a lights on, lights off macro. The problem w/that is that you're continually sending commands via joystick which is emulating your keyboard. You'll probably find that it will interfere w/other commands. This way doesn't.
169th_DedCat Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Now we need some bright spark to figure out how to do:- 1) brighter lighthouse lights 2) flashing lights (and brighter too?) on navigation hazards - chimneys/TV towers etc Ya flashing lights on jets, lighthouses, etc. are cool, but they don't actually improve visibility at a distance in the sim. You'll spot the black dot of the aircraft long before you'll spot any strobe lights. I've yet to see a combat sim model this really well.
