reported Laser is too bright during lazing in night and is visible without NVG

Hi,

can you look at the attached image, where my wingman laze for me a target? Laser is too bright and is visible without NVG.

As far as I know, the laser shouldn‘t be visible at all (not even with NVG) since it only is a laser designator, not a laser marker.

If a laser marker has been implemented though, this might very well show up very bright under NVGs. Still should be invisible to the bare eye.

Was that with ATFLIR or Litening?

The LITENING pod has had IR laser capability via the MARK option for quite some time, but I agree, the beam shouldn't be visible outside the aperture of the NVGs.

We are aware the IR laser is visible under certain circumstances when it shouldn't. This isn't a F/A-18C exclusive bug.
