if the ramp is down on the ch47, can an ejected pilot walk up it and be transported?  and would the mission editor recognize the ejected pilot unit being moved to a zone for example?

Funny you should ask, it was one of the first things I tried with my group! I climbed out of my Apache, walked up to the ramp, and felt really disappointed that I could go no further.

I think if the trap door is open, it adds another position

ABSOLUTE Solid find! Thank you for demonstrating and posting.  I was wondering where the other 3 stations were.  This must be one of them.  Makes me wonder where the remaining 2 are at.  I will give this a shot later.  Keep the new finds coming! Glad to see this forum bringing out the cooler side of the Chinook.

There's 3 regular positions with the hatch closed. Front between the pilots, center over the hook trap door, and lastly at the ramp.
If the trap door is open, you have a 4th position, which is head in the hole.

In your video you noted the difficulty of trying to use the Flight Engineer while piloting, this is solved with Bob engaged, inputting subtle movements with the stick and collective. Also, when the ramp controls get implemented, it will be easier to access them from the flight engineers position at the ramp.

Good stuff! And great catch.  I did not record the video, but just tried it real quick.  Much easier to control as stated.  Plus it opens up a clear view to turn the bottom lights on for aft, mid, and forward cargo operations.  Cool stuff!

I accidently discovered the 4th engineer head in hole position too. Very cool in VR. I couldn't work out how to close the hatch though. Is there somewhere you need to click? And are there any key binds for opening and closing the hatch?

You have to map the trap door binding. You hold that binding to open it, but only need to click it to close it.

The lower hatch and hook will not open and deploy until you've selected a cargo from the All Cargos menu.

How far they flew in so much danger to drop Bombs so young and were the Tallest Smallest Men that ever Lived.

Well put. Did most of it in broad daylight too.

It’d be great to be able to drive stuff on and off the Chinook. Even funnier if we could climb aboard as a walk up. Imagine a MP server with that kind of chaos, overcrowding and fights for the ramp position. We need this 😄. Could bring great rescue missions too.

which model size is not correct since a Humvee suppose to fit? Even if it was allowed to go up, the Humvee was too big to fit. 🤔

Agreed. If you ask ED, they'll tell you WIP, Work In Progress, which is true, it just came out, and to be honest, the capabilities thus far are more than I expected.

Good point. I can't ignore it now it's been pointed out either 😄. Makes ya wonder eh?
