Pavlin_33 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 (edited) My DCS runs just fine in ST (high FPS, no interrupts), but when I switch to MT I get horrible stutter. It looks like it's related to ground objects somehow, but I can't really put my finger on it. Game runs smooth until the stutter happens, after which it runs smooth again until the next stutter. I have no mods installed. My specs are in the signature. Toriy Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 In my case stutters start if there is a mission with a pop-up msg - like a msg from training mission or if there is a radio communication btw other aircraft. If I fly a mission without radio or a pop-up windows there are no stutters. 1

Solution Pavlin_33 Posted September 5, 2024 Author Solution Posted September 5, 2024 Solved it by changing the core affinity! @see link below. Thank you @BJ55 for putting me in the right direction. i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro

AKULA_OPTIMUS Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Also, besides the affinity thing, by turning the IA traffic off, performance gets even better.

Thank you @BJ55 for putting me in the right direction. This worked for me. Anyone who doesn't want to open another thread just enter your mission, alt tab out, change affinity to turn off core 0, alt tab back to game, alt tab back out and change affinity to enable core 0 again. DCS was back to running as smooth as it always used to after that.
Pavlin_33 Posted September 14, 2024 Author Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) I know I've marked it as solved, but ED should really address this somehow. Red_Dragon Posted February 15 Posted February 15 (edited) MT is still not working properly. A few years ago, I got rid of the old computer and bought a new one with 3080, 32 GB to match the DCS. DCS was running great until MT appeared. You know, endless stutters. I've sent tons of DCS logs. No result. Then I bought a new computer with 4080 and 64 GB RAM and others stuff.. DCS ran great again. A week or two ago, the stutters reappeared. I deleted all the mods I could find, did a restore, and the entire list such rituals. But I can't play anyway. Often, after a reboot, the DCS works fine again. But its too randomly. If this computer was working perfectly five minutes ago, why the hell isn't it working a moment later with the same tasks? I will no longer send endless logs and listen to nonsense about what I should delete and what settings to use et cetera.. My computer has SUFFICIENT configuration for DCS. Everything is simple for me. No game, no money. PS Please do not write about magical actions with cores, links to wonderful videos with examples of getting rid of all problems, I'm just not going to waste any more time on settings instead of flights. Understand that these are not words of resentment, they are just facts, if you want a reminder of the persistence of the problem. PS 2 By the way, I do not exclude that the problems may be related to the Windows update (I have the 11th on board). But in any case, the MT path is ED's choice. Edited February 15 by Red_Dragon 2
