Adding Kneeboard Pages/Pictures like Mission Pics in the Editor

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I would really like to be able to add pages to the kneeboard as easily as I can add images in the mission editor.

It would be nice to be able to do this directly in the mission editor.

There's been over a thousant similar wishes to make it more easy to add mission kneeboards. It's such a huge addition for proper missions (especially for VR users that can't use a second screen or notepad)

Here's my version of this wish 😉:

(but Google search shows a lot more and also older variants 😉)

Yes, I've seen it, but I didn't understand at all how it worked (probably just too complicated for my grey cells).

I'd prefer to see something (simple) implemented to DCS core

I use KneeboardBuilder not so much for its ability to place the KB images on the proper folders (or inside a MIZ), but for its ability to convert PDF to PNG quickly and easily. I write my own kneeboard content using a word processor that can save in PDF format, and then KneeboardBuilder converts it and places onto the correct folder.

Can be daunting. What I like a lot about it, is the ability to wipe the stock kneeboards, and make packages for the various airfields, so I don't have to browse through all the charts. Kneeboard can be applied even if you're flying.

The main idea is to keep things simple.
For example:

Adding kneeboards per flight would be very handy indeed. Especially if one could have some easy way to remove the cluttering stock ones.

I'd rather prefer it if DCS made default pins, one for each KB "source", that way we could quickly reach the one we want, like this:
