Kurtz Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 (edited) Can anybody tell me how to add missing weapon choices to the ingame ground support re-arming menu. eg: The KH-25ML misile and others are missing as well Also is there full availlable weapons chart/descriptions that we can print showing the various weapons combinations and there deployment type. eg: KH-25ML, laser etc I realise they are listed in the editor, but the ingame arming menu is incomplete I think, or am I missing something? Kwill Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I don't know how to do it but if it's like anything else with this game then I'm sure there's a LUA file somewhere you can edit to change the loadouts.
159_Archer Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 When you click on the arming button for your AC when in the mission editor, the page for weapon selection appears; click on 'new' at the bottom, enter a name for the weapons you want and then right-click each space where there should be a weapon. You select from the drop down menu which you require (Kh-25ML are listed here). Hope this makes sense! sobek Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 If the helo started with a custom loadout, you can rearm it by selecting default payload. Dunno if that's of any help. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Kurtz Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 Thanks guys thats all good info, and I have read pages 107-8 of the GUI manual. The thing I was trying figure is how to offer these weapons as an option from the ingame re-arming menu.
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Meaning he's in mission in his helo requesting the ground crew to change loadout! I'd like to know if this can be done too! http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
Kuro6 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Hmm, I've changed weapons while sitting on the pad. I just called up the ground crew over the intercom and requested them to change to whatever. Took em a little while, then, bam, new weapons. Worked fine for me. I don't think the AS-10 Karen is in game.
Kurtz Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 There are other arming options not availlable in those menu's Kuro. eg: KH-25ML is one of them
TheMoose Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Hi, I'm curious as well. Maybe a beta tester can answer that one. How come we are unable to select the Kh-25ML inside the in game Maintenance “change payload section”? I’m sorry if that was asked before. But I couldn’t find the answer using the search. Was it omitted intentionally? If so, then why? And any chances of having this added in the near future? The mission designer can add a payload for you - so you can start with it. You need to edit the mission to do that. TheMoose Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the info. But they have been added due that they "where" tested with the Ka-50 reason why we have them compared of not having at all the R-60/AA-8 Aphid, R-73/AA-11 Archer, Igla-V as reported by: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/helicopter-m/ka50/ (Which was reported by ED that they were never "intended" or used in testing with the Ka-50) PS: No intention of starting a flame or a debate. I just want to make sure I have my facts right. TheMoose Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) There's an old debate here regarding AA; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36249 GGTharos aka Don Quixote. If you go look for some old forum-material you'll probably find that most of these topics have been beaten to death :) Ok then, I'll stop beating an old horse....:D I'm not that avionic inclined to re hash old stories and reading tones of pages. But in lamming terms, the Kh25-ML was added due that it was TESTED successfully, but not Air to air right? I'm just curious on the extent on why we do not have Air to Air (for mostly valid reason). Then I just want to ensure that having this missile is on the same principal, being real. If not then... Having it and not the other makes no sence... If the Kh-25ML was not tested and not used in "real" life on the same premice as the AxA implication of the Ka-50 then, it should be removed. (not that I like that option, but if RL is the way to go, then...) or add Air to Air on the same premice of having the Kh-25ML... Thanks for enduring my patience on a way ''overtalked'' issue. But yet, I just needed a ''quicky'' understanding without having to read so many pages/threads. Edit: PS: Maybe adding a sticky on why many websites reports that AxA is capable with the KA-50 & such. But the Kh25-ML is possible compared to what actualy IS. Is being replicated/not with this sim. Preventing re occurences thread for new comers might be a valid suggestion...
