Supernova-III Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) Sometimes it takes too much time for the game to exit, I see just black screen. Today I realized that it happened at the same time when the DCS site is unresponsive. Then I killed the process with the task manager and started the launcher. The launcher didn't authorize me. Looks like auth server went down together with the site. Looks like the game depends on the auth server availability even on exit. Is this the case? upd: attached dcs.log and dxdiag dcs.log DxDiag.txt Edited November 29, 2024 by Supernova-III

No, it's just really slow cleaning things up and shutting down sometimes. Unless you're on MP it doesn't care about internet/auth server once it's authorized you for a session. 3
MAXsenna Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Like Rob10 says, it's really slow from time to time. I use alive log viewer to monitor whatever DCS does, and as long as the DCS.log is alive. I see no reason to manually kill the process. On my system it can take several minutes from time to time. This is the only reason why I assumed it depends on availability of some server, to send something before exit. And if the server is unavailable, it keeps waiting, waiting, waiting... It just makes more sense (but not much). Dear ED, please do something to this problem. It's not funny. Edited November 29, 2024 by Supernova-III

It happened yesterday. At the and of the log file it's clear that the shutdown takes more than 30 seconds, but it was not the worst scenario...

sleighzy Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Just a heads-up as well that the BeaconTypes.lua script error is a red-herring. This appears in pretty much everybody's logs at the moment so won't be something that you've done on your end, you should be able to safely ignore that one. 2 AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2

I don't do anything special in DCS.
