Fog/Dust only renders in bubble around player

The fog/dust only renders in a roughly 20nm bubble around the player. Once you get above 20,000ft, typical operational altitudes for combat, you can see this bubble. Beyond the bubble everything is clear. First picture is dust, second is fog. Both are from about 30,000ft.

Hi, 

please attach your dcs log and let us know what your view distance is set at. Is it set at Extreme or lower?

I have spoken with the team, the fog accounts for spherical earth, however the terrain is flat, for now we will have to live with this and compromise, but it is something we will keep in mind.

And  the edges of the fog constantly shimmering?

raising fog altitude, solves the "bubble" and flickering of fog
