HUD controls

I got me a very cool Winwing MIP with the UFC and HUD controls. Most of the controls for the HUD are obvious. But there are a few I'm not clear on. What do the W/B-VID-OFF, BLACK LEVEL, and BALANCE controls do?

Right now nothing. They are supposed to be used to configure FLIR image on your HUD, but our Hornet does not have it. And probably will not receive it as in some forum posts it was claimed that our version of Hornet was no longer equipped with FLIR due to introduction of night vision goggles.

And the I/P button doesn‘t do anything either… 

Just use them to something at your convenience. Calling up the kneeboard for example. Dimming exterior or interior lights etc…

I have the WW MIP as well…it‘s really great.

Does the EMCON button work yet? That’s a significant function that shouldn’t be left out.

I/P does work with SRS. It's for a transponder IDENT squawk.

yes, but that‘s an external use.
I use DCS-DTC which also uses it to initiate the upload. But of course I see that your described case uses it in it‘s intended function.
