THIS IS HOW IT COULD DISAPPEAR LIKE THIS thanks for the help Please post screenshots of your OVGMe config, and the directory location of where DCS is supposed to be installed based on right clicking the DCS shortcut and selecting properties to see what the target is. Send a screenshot of the mods folder you unzipped this mod into, and the top-level folder structure of the unzipped mod What happens when you disable the mod again in OVGMe? PLUTON Posted January 1 Author Posted January 1 When I disabled the mod (I only had one) nothing special happened, but with the mod activated this mod did not appear in the game
sleighzy Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Is this also the Mirage 2000D mod you installed, and followed the PDF installation tutorial on that mod website for installing it via OVGMe? https://splitair-dcs.com/language/en/downloads/?lang=en Just now, PLUTON said: When I disabled the mod (I only had one) nothing special happened, but with the mod activated this mod did not appear in the game Not sure I understand, you said when you installed the mod that DCS vanished from your computer? But in this comment you say the mod does not show up in the game. AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
Rudel_chw Posted January 1 Posted January 1 2 hours ago, PLUTON said: HOW IT COULD DISAPPEAR LIKE THIS No idea, there is not enough info to venture a guess ... all I can say, is that I use OvGME since way back, and it has never once deleted my DCS install: For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
PLUTON Posted January 1 Author Posted January 1 yes just before DCS disappeared and it was when I tried again the second time that the game disappeared from my hard drive
PLUTON Posted January 1 Author Posted January 1 I'm like you, I wonder what happened but in the meantime my 2 Tera hard drive has recovered the space that DCS took up. Well I just redownloaded DCS AND I'M GOING TO REINSTALL EVERYTHING CLEAN; at least that will have served that purpose
sleighzy Posted January 1 Posted January 1 So DCS is installed under "E:\DCS World" then? What's inside that "RAF_M2000D_V1_PUBLIC RELEASE" folder in the "E:\DCS MOD" folder? AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
PLUTON Posted January 1 Author Posted January 1 This folder contains the M 2000 D which replaces the M200OC
PLUTON Posted January 1 Author Posted January 1 I just finished downloading DCS and I am installing all my MODULES AND TERRAINS and it takes 7h33 Minutes (779550.3 MB) I just have to wait until tomorrow to check all that because it is 9:30 p.m. where I am. Thank you for the answers you gave me quickly Thanks again and have a good flight ps: if one day I understand what really happened I will keep you informed 1

Just had noted the install instructions had a different folder name, but looks like maybe they're out of date. I downloaded and checked it and appears unzipped it matches what I would have expected from a mod, i.e. this is the contents of that folder. So yes, still a mystery, sorry I don't have an exact answer for you at the moment. AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
PLUTON Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 On the other hand, another question! I downloaded DCS WORLD and reinstalled all my modules and terrains. and I noticed that I still have two folders, BIN and BIN MT is this normal? And 2 icons on the desktop (1 black icon written dcs world and 1 orange icon written dcs world MT) and I can launch the game from these 2 icons. Again, is this normal?

Again, is this normal? yes both are normal. the MT folder will eventually go away. C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin is the more important of the two. target is "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" start in is "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta" adjust to your folder names. null AKA_SilverDevil Join AKA Wardogs Email Address My YouTube “The MIGS came up, the MIGS were aggressive, we tangled, they lost.” - Robin Olds - An American fighter pilot. PLUTON Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 Thanks for the answer, so I launch DCS with the dcs world and not with dcs world MT? OK thank you very much

It does not came in OvGME-ready format, you need to create the OvGME archive manually: The Mod replaces the M-2000C and cames with just its wallpaper: but it has no instant action missions, nor training. I was a bit dissapointed to find that it doesn't implement the back cockpit. In fact I didn't see much of a difference on the front cockpit either: So, the main difference is the external 3D model ... from my viewpoint its mostly aesthetics: Anyway, just wanted to let you know that the Mod seems to work fine with the current DCS, didn't lost any file. happy New Year, Eduardo 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
PLUTON Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Thanks for the answer Mr Ruddel but do I have to create the archive manually? How should I do it! because I have never used ovGME HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU
Rudel_chw Posted January 3 Posted January 3 1 hour ago, PLUTON said: How should I do it! A long time ago I did a Guide on the OvGME use, nowadays it is obsolete as it pertains to an old version of the Utility, but the Mod packaging part is still about the same, so I restored the images of that section, take a look at it here: For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
PLUTON Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Thank you Mr Russell for your time spent helping me I will try to see all this. Just another question I saw on User Files that there were several skins for the 2000 D or 2000N!
Rudel_chw Posted January 3 Posted January 3 1 hour ago, PLUTON said: Just another question I saw on User Files that there were several skins for the 2000 D or 2000N! The Mod includes 21 liveries as standard, on User Files I could find just one for this specific Mod (other Mod's liveries most likely wont be compatible): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/es/files/3336896/ maybe you could ask on the developer's Discord, to see if they have more liveries for it: https://discord.gg/split-air-438053935882829824 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
PLUTON Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Thank youuuuu I just read the ovGME installation and I didn't understand much, I installed JSGME instead because I found it simpler, after following the instructions to the letter everything went well except that the M2000 D does not appear in the game. I'm completely lost. Any advice from a pro? Thanks in advance

PLUTON Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Honestly no he speaks too fast and his explanations are too fast, plus I don't speak English so I have to watch what he does and read at the same time (not possible) so I repeat too fast for me. I have to find a tutorial in French. OR POSSIBLY install the M2000D mods manually
