Will DCS support nvidia frame generation and dlss 4?

See title, just curious. 
Edit* I do notice that my game in VR runs terrible when i have 'hardware accelerated graphics' set to on, which is needed for frame generation. 

Does anyone know if DCS has a problem with that 'hardware accelrated graphics' setting set to 'on', or is that just on my end for some reason. ?

Hi,

DLSS 4 is something we will look at once we have vulkan implemented in public release version.

well that's too bad for me. If i enable it my GPU utlization starts to vary very wildly and is much lower in general creating to huge frame dips

I might be due for a complete windows re-install. This installation is still my old windows 7 installation a bunch of years ago

HAGS on gives me a performance boost vs it being off in VR on WIN11

Wow! Glad to hear ED team is eyeing on the latest DLSS tech. Before GPU performance leap for a few gens, DLSS4 could be the saver of DCS graphics performance which is one of big road blockers to many enthusiasts who has no deep pocket.

I’m as skeptical as the next person but I gotta admit it looks really good in FS2024 and Cyberpunk and very much needed in those games too. In FS2020 it looked pretty bad though.

Looking at what's on the tin, these being RTX cards, one would expect the 5th generation top of the line of these cards to handle at least that part of their name

Frame generation isn't what's needed

Instead of throwing AI chips on that card to create "3 extra best guess screenshots", they should have upped the RT performance at the very least, so  that they are actually capable doing what's the hell they're designated as

Well you don’t even need the 5th gen cards to get the improved DLSS 4 FG just the multi FG which at least now seems like overkill on a card as powerful as the 5090.

I am not sure how frame generation flies with VR. 
But, anyway you slice it, many people would gladly make the trade off for a massive frame increase and some added latency. 

I personally am more interested in the updated DLSS. Looks better AND has performance. Why would you not want that at least

Agree with you. Don’t resist a new tech when it’s still premature. DLSS came to VR not long time ago and only this V4  seems promising to VR. The same to FG, a lot of people call it fake frame which is still an evolving tech and getting much better than 1st gen which came with much worse latency, isn’t it?

Got what you are saying. But unfortunately current FG is only doing decent smoothing with 40-60 of original fps or it would be a mess.

Exactly this. Nvidia has really put its marketing to work trying to convince the masses that the 5k series cards not only warrant that 25% premium with at best 20-30% performance gain on certain titles, but that with MFG it's actually 50%+ LOL 

 

People, MFG is not what you want in VR, you want that raster performance. 40fps will just look smoother, but now you get the added latency that comes with it.
