It`s clear that in its current shape it`s not as stealthy as F-22 or F-35 but it`s still a prototype. Let`s give it several years of testing no doubt some modifications are needed to reduce the RCS further and from different aspects.

 

 

 

It will be equipped with 2D nozzles? Didn`t know that. Goodbye 3D TVC...

BTW that gap between the engines can`t it be used for extending the weapon bays an achieving a flat underside?

Its the other way around with th F22 being slightly bigger

Wonder what the final engine blend into airframe will look like

^^^ No actually PAK-FA is slightly bigger ;) On the diagram the dark aircraft is F-22 so you can see the PAK-FA is a bit longer with larger horizontal stabilizers and bigger wing span

What are the purpose of the surfaces at the top front of the intakes? Control surfaces? To hide the intake? To change intake geometry?
