Tipps for NightHawkHunter:

 

There is a convoy (HMMWVs) who want to escape at the beginning of the mission.

If they reach radiorange to the enemy FARP, the FARP will send reinforcements to our FARP and will request reinforcements from the airport.

 

If you kill the convoy before they reach radiorange the FARP don't know you. No reinforcements on the way to the enemy FARP!

 

If you destroy the radiotower of the enemy FARP BEFORE they notice you, the FARP is cut off from the outside world and can not request reinforcements from the airport!

 

The FARP will notice you if you kill a unit at the FARP or if you move into the FARP-area of 7,5 Km.

Then the FARP will request reinforcements immediatly!

 

So you have to destroy the radiotower with a manual shot at about 8-10 Km!!!

 

Then you have to clean the FARP, kill the HAWK behind the FARP and maybe the reinforcements from the airport. After that our service will drive to the enemy FARP and you can rearm.

 

This is the first part of the mission.

All Triggers can be activated by everyone because the triggers are very important for the "story" of the mission.

That's why I have done some "foresight" that no one leave the route. ;)

The triggers not even activate units.

Many triggers set flags for messages, smoke signals etc.

 

There is only one mission named "Outpost" in what not everyone can trigger the units.

Situation:

There are 4 Outposts named "Alpha", "Beta", "Charly" and "Delta". (Shown in the briefingpicture)

There are 4 waves of enemys for each outpost.

The Ka-50 are named:

Ka-50 #1.1 - Alpha

Ka-50 #1.2 - Alpha

Ka-50 #1.3 - Beta

Ka-50 #1.4 - Beta

Ka-50 #2.1 - Charly

Ka-50 #2.2 - Charly

Ka-50 #2.3 - Delta

Ka-50 #2.4 - Delta

 

So it should be clear how ka-50 can trigger which wave. ;)

Hopefully I can fly the one or another of your missions in the evening.

The option will assume your gema setting. Si set it off in your options ;)

... but will be forced to "off" in the next version.

Was flown that mission on saturday and had a hard time. In that mission I had the highest loss rate all the time...:(

Yes, the mission is no kindergarten :)

... after the patch more than ever...

Because of this I have removed some hard SAMs in this version.

 

Let us fly together this week.

great fun!

 

Played online a few times and I relay like the maps!

 

Yesterday I was in and we played "Hind napping". Damn - those Hinds are sharp shooters! Nice terrain. We switched map because there was only 4 client slots. Is this a limit for this map?

 

Defense of Batumi sure has an interesting and intense start - love it! First time we got run over by tanks which forced us to a map restart... Second time we made it. That first bridge is really hard to get at. Super-missiles kill us all... Last time I tried sneaking to Bridge 2 from behind - attacking from south west - it worked like a charm.

I enjoy this map. Some more bridges/areas to clear - or some more enemies on the hills would be good. I like the short distance from takeoff to action.

 

NightHawkHunter is a monster of a mission.. surprise convoy to hunt - that's cool. If Convoy is not cleared the FARP is hard to beat.

Once FARP is cleared it's hard work at the airfield - nasty SAMs hit you if you go high. Cool map.

Yes it is the limit. 4:4

Also there is no room to add a second FARP. :huh:

Some people told me this mission is to hard.

So I don't have add more enemys.

Think it is good as it is.

 

 

 

NightHawkHunter .... nasty SAMs hit you if you go high.

This is written in the briefing. The loophole to the airfield has a max of 150m over ground.

 

In the next version this mission will be little easyer. There are some Rolands moving from the airfield to the north. In V2.1 this units will be Linebacker.

A appeal for all these guys who want to fly their own ways:

 

This missions uses a lot of triggers! Without these triggers the missions are NOT working! If somebody leave the destinated route or don't follow the briefing, the triggers won't be activated or (worse) will be activated to the wrong time!

Therefore I have done a few arrangements that people will be shot down if they leave the route.

 

Example:

 

Today I observed somebody in "The Dam". This person want to fly over the mountains to come from behind to the dam. He was shot down 3 times by manpads in the mountains. But what would happe if he reach the dam?

-> If he reach the dam and kill the 3 units standing on the dam, he will trigger the Blackhawk. The Blackhawk will fly over the city and will be shot because the city is not clear! The mission will be failed and all work of the other pilots is invalid..... because of one pighead!

 

So please never leave the route.

Are these missions designed/tested to be flown in Arcade mode, or Simulator mode?

 

I have been downloading lots of missions to fly in simulator mode, but they are all too hard. (I also kinda suck, but not that bad. ;) )

This missions are designed for simulator mode. Arcade mode is disabled for this missions.

If you follow the briefing the missions are not too hard.

Read the briefing, maybe print it out.

I'm working since one day and I tried to create a realisitc political szenario (like in The Dam).

I think the mission can be tested in ca. one week.

Bad news... Seems like the application of the clients crashed after they fly into the first triggerzone. On SP the mission works fine.

Maybe there is a problem between download-version and CD-version.

 

The test will be extended till the problem is known and fixed.

Will do my best to release the mission soon as possible.

 

Support from ED would be a very good option....

Over the last months the INOCO (India Oil Company) has evolved to one of the largest competitors to the ARAMCO (Arabian-American Oil Company).

After an extended legal dispute about the oil-production and oil-refinery in Anapa, the INOCO has finally taken the initative.

Apparently, they bribed a General of the Russian Army to gain access to military equipment and have built their own private army from these resources.

While the exact strength and size of this army is unknown, the INOCO was able to force Anapa and the surrounding areas under their control.

It is our job to ease the pressure between both sides in this delicate situation.

I solved those problems in my mission by using the "hidden

with the "HOW-TO hide all units" in the HOW-TO Prepare and Copy-protect your mission guide.

The problems I was having was similar to yours as described in the Large MP mission, units not hidden, Enable ABRIS/NAV = MP Client Crash which we assumed was the amount of units brough onscreen for the ABRIS. Altough it migh be the triggerzone as you have discovered.

I forgot something in the briefing of Black Gold of Anapa:

 

Ka-50 1.x will fly to the north.

Ka-50 2.x will fly to the south.

 

Also the singleplayer is very hard because you don't have enough ammo to handle the incoming enemys.

I'm on it and will release V2.3 soon.
