brettt777 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Isn't someone working on an A-6E Intruder? As a former Naval Air veteran that spent my entire enlistment (12 years) stationed at NAS Whidbey Island in the 70's and 80's, an A-6E would mean so much to me. I actually worked on the EA-6B's but I was around A-6's all the time. Nothin but Hornets at Whidbey these days, which is cool... but I miss it. I mean, we have an F-14 and I believe Flying Iron is working on an A-7E. I heard about a possibility of an S-3 Viking. I mean, that would be almost my entire flight deck from 40 years ago. That would be like going back in time for me. 3 AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 4.4ghz, 64gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, GeForce RTX-3060ti 8GB DDR6, Three KTC 32" QHD monitors @ 165hz, Rosewill 80plus Bronze 1000w, Corsair Hydro H100i, 2tb M.2 SSD for OS, Two 3tb HDD, 2tb SSD for DCS, P3D, Star Citizen, Sound Blaster Zx, Thermaltake Overseer RX-I, Winwing Orion 2 HOTAS F-15EX throttle and F-16EX stick, Winwing 3 MFD MIP with FA-18 UFC and F-16 ICP, TrackIR 5, Surround Speakers & Subwoofer, Oculus Quest 2 VR. :joystick::pilotfly:
bjdy Posted March 12 Posted March 12 I believe Heatblur will do the A-6 once they're done with the Eurofighter. 2 1
sirrah Posted March 12 Posted March 12 ED and Heatblur have been teasing the Intruder for years now (iirc, the first time it flashed by in a DCS video, was around 2021). Initially it was announced by Heatblur as an AI only asset, but if memory serves me right, there are now plans for a full fidelity one. Unfortunately no real news so far as to status. Afaik, it's not even clear yet which version is in the making, but please anyone, correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways, perhaps it at least comforts you to know, that many of us are craving for this jet. 1 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

S-3 has actualy very improbable (missing all ASW/Sonar engine funtionality on the core). 1 For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF
draconus Posted March 13 Posted March 13 https://trello.com/b/HsMiJggJ/heatblur-public-roadmap AI version is almost there (they say it every year since a few years) but full fidelity module is far away, waiting for the Eurofighter development first. 2 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
