Gretsch_Man Posted March 14 Posted March 14 (edited) Hey guys, I've just uploaded my new AJS-37 Viggen campaign for the Kola map called Nordic Response. Here's a short description of what to expect: Nordic Response is a 'realistic lite' campaign for the Viggen, consisting of 12 missions, many of which are loosely based on / inspired by Heatblur's Mjolnir Response and Wrath of Thunder campaigns. This time, however, the action will take place not over the Caucasus, but the Kola peninsula, depicting a hypothetical war between NATO and Russia in the early 1990s. What’s more, in Nordic Response the player is also to carry out an interception, as well as performing Toss Bombing & Radar Bombing missions, among other things. Sounds interesting? Well, don’t get too excited yet! Been a ‘realistic lite’ campaign, Nordic Response is neither super realistic nor super hardcore. I tried to make things as plausible as I could, but it was also important to me to create a (hopefully) fun and entertaining experience. Besides, I’m not an expert in the matter. As far as complexity and difficulty of the missions are concerned, I think this campaign is roughly on a par with Mjolnir Response / Wrath of Thunder. This was my very first campaign for DCS and to be honest, I'm not too happy with the results. But since I’ve put a considerable amount of time into making it, I figured I might as well just share it with you guys anyway. The campaign can be downloaded here Edit: Here is the modified MIZ file for mission 1 for those who are having trouble with that the guy standing at the holding point for RWY 32 not moving. Thank you for sharing it anyway, I'm not currently flying the Viggen (being very busy with the MiG-21 and the upcoming T-45 update) but saved it anyway, to try it once I get back to the Viggen. I liked the thorough readme pdf documentation and the extensive briefing (at least on the 1st mission), will expand on my impressions once I get to fly it. I took the liberty of renaming it so that it shows up on the Campaign list next to the other Viggen Campaigns that I've downloaded: Best regards and thanks again Eduardo 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

Spirale Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I want to mention one more thing: i like the fact if you don't complete the mission and success it, you have to fly it again, there is no possibility to skip the mission in case of fail result = this is much appreciated for this amazing module, often underated and complex for the people who want to dig in. With this option " anti skip" you have to learn in depth the hidden capacity of the Viggen in order to complete the mission. There are a lot of animation, good music and screen "pop up" = well done really! A huge thx for your work 1 1
TOViper Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Hey Gretsch_Man! I flew the 1st mission too, and I liked it very much. Only thing was that the guy standing at the holding point for RWY 32 didn't move away (despite I had clearance to go), and subsequently all other flights were blocked. The mission worked until the end though, and I managed to get it finished, so no big deal. Don't get me wrong ... but ... erm ... I love the Viggen, and I personally love everyone who is somehow working for the Viggen Kisses! Otulf Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Hello Gretch_Man! Thank you very much for this! I flew mission number one yesterday and It was really good! I had the same problem as TOViper with the guy standing at the holding point but other than tha the misson worked perfectly. Very nice touch indeed with the welcome text and music enroute to the recon-area! (Even if I usually nerver play music when i play/pc-fly)... I also like the briefing with text and pictures. Very nicely done! I will now try the other missions. GREAT JOB! Best regards: Otulf 1

That guy standing at holding point for RWY32 was supposed to be triggered by another AI Viggen flight coming from the opposite site of the airbase arriving at that holding point BEFORE the player. I suppose you somehow managed to arrive there first... I have modified the MIZ file. Now the player can also trigger the guy to move. I have included the MIZ file in my top message. Sorry for the inconvenience. 5
