Good evening, I haven't found any file that talks about it so I'm posting, what should I do please, the update doesn't work, claims not to find the F14-HeatblurCommon.dll file. Thank

You need to exclude your DCS installation folders in your Anti-Virus solution and perform a repair. Then you might need to run the update again.

That's Windows Firewall, not the same thing. You want Windows Defender for the antivirus settings.

Add a new folder exclusion in it for your E:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World folder.

Thank you for your screenshot, and like @sleighzy points out. That's the firewall, and not the Anti-Virus. And you need to add exclusions for the Core installation folders, like C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics or if you have Steam, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps

You misunderstood me. I use DCS Steam and it wasn't enough to add only F-14 or the entire DCS folder to the exceptions. I had to ADDITIONALLY add the download folder to the exclusion because WinDef was already deleting files it considered a threat here, which caused the installation/update to be interrupted due to the lack of required files. I hope I've made myself clear now.

Yup, your screenshots and log are E:\Eagle Dynamic\DCS World for your folder (non-Steam) so add that to your exclusions as mentioned earlier if you haven't already and run a repair of the game.

I did what Raffi75 did, and it works. I excluded the _download folder from both of my DCS installations. Images attached. Only the F-14 is excluded. Thank you sincerely for your always helpful contributions. Best regards.

Ah, I see. That's why I recommend excluding the whole Steamapps folder.

Hello, I don't use DCS on Steam.

No, I just pointed out that you excluded the wrong folders, and it would be different for Steam users.
Instead of making multiple exclusions, you should just exclude the core Eagle Dynamics folder and perform a repair, like I wrote in my first post, which is the solution. Not your post.

You should do what @MAXsenna said which is to exclude the full folder above, not just the _downloads folder. Like I said already, this should be E:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World. The _downloads directory is just a temp directory when you update the game. When your antivirus next scans it may remove those dll game files again (from the location it puts them in afterwards) which means you may have the same problem in the future.

I’ll have to look at my AV later. My exclusions pic would be the same as Kersaints is. 

I might have overdone it 🤪. Works though 🙂.
