FlyBoyd Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Hello! So I have Voice Chat all setup and working appropriately and I can hear and transmit fine within my own flight. For example if I am Viper 11, I can hear Viper 12, 13 and 14. I can't hear other flights however and just hear a clicking. All the other players can hear everyone. I do use a Steelseries and it is set to "chat" under the headphones audio options. Any ideas why I would be able to hear my wingman but not the other flights?? FlyBoyd Posted April 8 Author Posted April 8 Negative! Still haven't figured it out yet. Firebird1955 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I have the issue as well. Also using Arctis 7 headset and steelseries sonar settings. Can hear some people, but others just get a key click, no modulation, the another click when they release. Since this has been up for 3 weeks I would assume someone from ED has looked at the posts. Vakarian Posted April 11 Posted April 11 You guys aren't the only ones. Maybe if ED asks for a specific things for the debugging, we could provide those. Providing regular dcs.log files so far have turned up nothing. In my group we have tried multiple times (every few major updates) to get the VC working, so far 0 of those tests resulted in all of us hearing each other. There's always someone not hearing things or someone's voice not coming through. In all of the tests we used multiple modules, never has the issue been in the same ones nor for a same person, but the server we did the testing was always the same... Is there any scenario ED would like us to setup for the test? How many modules, how many clients, any other special settings...? I might persuade guys in my group to give it a go for another round of testing in hopes it yields some results. Pinging you guys to see if you can help us so we can help you @BIGNEWY@NineLine 1

We are using my own dedicated server, but it is on the same internet connection as my DCS computer so maybe that's part of the problem?? And it is across multiple modules for us too. We haven't deleted SRS yet for this reason, but we do like the in game chat, we just need it to work consistently for us to transfer over to it completely. Thanks for the reply! Firebird1955 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Talked to Nineline and he said he, or someone on the team would have a look 1 System Specs: System Specs: MSI Tomahawk Z590 wifi, I9 11900K Processor, 64gb Corsair Vengance 3600mhz ram, 4070TI Video Card, Windows 11 Pro, 2 Samsung NVMe SSD (2tb and 1 tb), Valve Index VR system
Vakarian Posted May 1 Posted May 1 If there's gonna be a need for some specific testing and you get the info, please share. I'd like to help
ED Team NineLine Posted May 2 ED Team Posted May 2 Hey guys, so this is what I found out, right now we are moving Voice Chat away from turn servers to a built-in solution, in current testing, it seems to have solved most of the connection issues people are seeing. If testing continues well, this will be available in the next update. Thanks! 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Vakarian Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Thanks @NineLine that are some wonderful news. Fingers crossed it all goes well. Pass thanks to the team for perservering and looking into the problem. 1
Laxxor Posted May 2 Posted May 2 (edited) In order to not feel like champions of the in-game solution were hung out to dry, it would have been really nice to hear about this sooner in the DCS update newsletter, rather than feel like the solution had been shelved and to stumble over the information in a disjointed respository.... @NineLine Its also worth noting that there is a whole section dedicated to Voice chat bugs, but its only this section of the forums being reviewed?
