DCS modules not available in Mission Editor

Dear all,

I hope it's just my stupid fault and someone can give me a hint: Currently 2 modules are not available for me in the ME - F4 & CH-47 for "placement".

Background:

After installation of the new GER Cold War Map, I wanted to create a very simple misson for "sightseeing" with the CH-47F. When trying to place a "rotary", I realized that the CH-47F was not available (same for the F-4 from planes section) as a "yellow" option.

Checking some old missions showed, that I can use both aircraft types without problems. Also the Instant Action works fine (e.g. CH-47F, Cold War Germany, Emergency delivery). 

So far I tried:

• (full) Repair -> no success
• delete CH-47 module in options, deleted folder on disk, re-installed the module(s), repaired again -> no success
• played around with coalitions  -> no success

Back again, I'm on the same level as before: Modules (CH-47 & F-4) on older/saved missions are ok, also the default missions are up & running.

Any hints for me?

this probably sounds odd. are you sure that the time frame you chose in ME the AC existed? long shot.

Just ckecked:

Set 1985 / 1995 /2005 : no success for the Chinook/Phantom - it just doesn't show up as "yellow" (...you have this Aircraft...) 

The Huey/Hornet/Viper is available (as "yellow")?!?

Does it happen in every airbase or specific ones? There are already posts in Germany map section of the forum about players having problems with placing units in some airbases. I don't own the map yet so can't test myself.

Other suggestion - open one of these stock instant missions in full editor and check how player's C-47 or F-4 is set up there.

a further observation: I open a "older" mission which includes/has both (CH-47/F4) in ME and try to add a further F-4 or CH-47: they are not available ?!?

But the already available 2-ship can be added by further aircraft without problems...

Have you tried with Historical Mode toggled off in case there's some issue with how their dates are being stored in the database?

Yes. I've checked F-4E in Airplane and CH-47F in Helicopter lists are disappeared by Historical Filter ON + 1999 mission year.

Bingo, that was the case! I admit that I never realized this mode...
