I tried to create an anti-ship mission with only two cargo boats, and it created the two cargo boats and a frigate! This thing is so simplistic that with the load times, it's easier to just create a quick and dirty ME mission. Doubly-so using templates. This way at least you can load the scripts that make DCS halfway playable in a COMBAT role.

Buster0083 Posted Sunday at 05:24 AM Posted Sunday at 05:24 AM My understanding - and I'd love to see it implemented too - is that he's asking for a way for the QAG to generate missions where the target is a building or bridge, etc, not a unit or number of units. A category that offered bridges, buildings on ports or aerodromes, and runways themselves, would be a nice feature.

Weta43 Posted yesterday at 02:43 AM Posted yesterday at 02:43 AM I think conceptually it's a good idea - & perhaps a good start at that idea (is it easing in tech developed for the campaign mode?). At the moment it's a 'simple mission generator' rather than a 'quick mission generator' as (I timed it) it took me 6:28 to make a mission with a couple of targets, some AAA & some ground troops & set a loadout, and 11:05 to replicate that in the QMG (probably 2/3 of that waiting for the mission to generate) As the OP said, one thing that seems to be missing is the ability to add 'structures' from the static objects list That said, I do like how it always throws in a large building for A2G missions so you can find the targets without a full briefing Cheers.
