Pribs86 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I have flown about 11 modules now and noticed that no two modules are the same as far as using the mouse to click on cockpit switches. So I'm not trying to pick apart this module, but just say that there doesn't seem to be a "standard" in DCS as a whole. Some modules require a left click to turn switches on, but some modules require a right click, depending on the module. Some switches, depending on the module again, can be clicked on and off with either clicking the same mouse button twice ie: a LMB (2x) or a RMB (2x), so basically toggling with the same mouse button, while other modules are clicked on with one click but then will stay on until clicked with the opposite mouse button. I have personally gotten used to clicking switches on/up with the left mouse button and off/down with the right mouse button. I also prefer that if I click something to turn it on with the left mouse button it will stay on no matter how many times I LMB click it but will turn off when I RMB click on it then it will turn off/down. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am excited to see this module grow like all of the others. Thank you all for your hard work! 2
Vakarian Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Oh yeah, F4U seems very odd in this regard. Some switches go up with left click, some go down. So not even that's standardized. Also, a lot of rotary style controls don't function on mousewheel but you have to click and drag like they do in pretty much all other modules 4
71st_Mastiff Posted June 19 Posted June 19 (edited) in the US we prefer the left click as on, right click as off. seems more natural that way. or intuitive. Nealius Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Typical (emphasis on "typical") click logic in DCS is that left click is down/left, right click is up/right. However a few modules like the A-10C and I think a few switches in the Tomcat and Viggen depart from this logic.

I'm in the US. Just got used to turning things on with RMB. But regardless, there doesn't seem to be a standard across all modules. Edited June 20 by Pribs86 1
