ruprecht Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I'm considering getting one of these and coding a little C++ application to extract the LoGetSlipBallPosition() from DCS and rumble either the left or right side depending one where and how much my slip ball is deflected. That got me thinking that DCS could really benefit from this, in terms of generally feeling hits on the airframe etc. Is there any thought to supporting this product in a future patch? JG14_Smil Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Hello, not really what you are asking about, but there seems to be signs of life at the Ivibe website with news of a TFS3 update (TFS means tactile feedback seat). I lost my membership to the forum there and there is no working way to re-register, so will have to see how it works out. The TFS was a very good simming item to have.
Prophet Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Yeah it will be nice to see the TFS update, I got one and its fantastic for LOMAC even with no native support. Just joystick scaling and some macro'd effects.
RedTiger Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Is there any way to rig one of those things for constant pressure...as in like G forces building up?
ruprecht Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 I won't know until I play with it, hoping to get one for father's day :) DCS Wishlist: | Navy F-14 | Navy F/A-18 | AH-6 | Navy A-6 | Official Navy A-4 | Carrier Ops | Dynamic Campaign | Marine AH-1 | Streaming DCS sometimes:

ruprecht Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 And... woot. I got one. Working on the software now. SDK only provides a C/C++ .lib and header, no .dll, so is a bit tricksy to use from C# .Net. Pretty sweet bit of kit though. herig2 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I email TN Games about the vest: With the proper program, would the vest be able to inflate all the compartments to simulate g forces in a flight simulation, such as Lock On Modern Air Combat They said: Not exactly. The vest is designed to provide short burst impacts. However, we have a prototype vest for flight sims. We haven't release it as a saleable product, but plan to do so in the future. I'm patiently waiting. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Deigs Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 How is the vest with games like ARMA? What is your thoughts on the product Ruprecht? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 161 Squadron Australia's DCS Community
