ex81 Posted Sunday at 07:42 PM Posted Sunday at 07:42 PM (edited) After a successful landing and rolling down the strip, I`m afraid to use the wheelbrakes. Even a soft touch ends up nose down on the ground. Has anybody a solution so I can stop smooth ? Edited Sunday at 07:42 PM by ex81 What goes up, must come down ! MiG21bisFishbedL Posted Sunday at 07:53 PM Posted Sunday at 07:53 PM Are you using an axis for your brakes or using a digital input like a button? 1 Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted Sunday at 09:42 PM Posted Sunday at 09:42 PM Set them as Slider instead of axis. Also keeping the stick in your lap to force the tail wheel on the ground does help, but you always need to be gentle with wheel brakes. 2 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON

VKB Gunfighter, Slider 2 As Raven stated, set it to be a slider instead of axis in the tuning window. It'll take some getting used to since you don't really 'feel' anything like you would in an actual airplane. But, just be gentle and increase input as you get slower. 1 Reformers hate him! MAXsenna Posted yesterday at 12:05 AM Posted yesterday at 12:05 AM Hrrrmmm! @Raven (Elysian Angel) @MiG21bisFishbedL I'm sure you both meant, "make sure the slider checkbox is checked for the axis"! A slider or a rotary are both axis. 1

GTFreeFlyer Posted yesterday at 12:59 AM Posted yesterday at 12:59 AM I usually roll 1/2 to 3/4 of the runway length with the tail wheel down and elevator stick fully back in my lap before touching the wheel brakes. Your maintenance crew will thank you as well Towards the end of the roll, I hold maybe 25% brakes and that seems to work well. Let the ground friction do as much work as possible before going to the brakes. Taildraggers don’t do well with hard braking. Everyone has their own technique. Check the little box next to 'Slider' as well. That can help with axis confusion. Sometimes an axis might freak out or something if it's being used with a bias in a singular direction (Like a brake lever or throttle), so it's usually a good idea to check that box. Terry Dactil Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago This works well on my Thrustmaster pedals. Reduces the effect of the initial pedal movement, so now it needs a lot more pedal movement if you really want to stick the Corsair on its nose.

You'll have a lot more flexibility in tuning the brake axis if you make it a slider (click Slider box) instead of what you're doing there. Cheers, John
