Got my Crystal Super yesterday. I have been playing DCS today. I turned off Quad Views in Pimax Play (still had eye tracking enabled though) and downloaded the "old" external Quadviews from Github, and its Quad views companion app, and tuned it for my system. Got incredible sharpness and perfect fluid gameplay that way. So good news that the new Pimax Play will allow players to tune Quadviews more. Can you please tell us more about the "several known issues" with the Crystal Super - that is now being fixed? 1 1 System 1: Intel I9 13900K, ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC, 32 GB RAM@6000Mhz. Nodak Posted Friday at 05:19 PM Posted Friday at 05:19 PM Thanks for quad views controls, that is a really nice feature. You guys are rapidly turning into the simming kings of VR. No one else in the VR world gives a rats arse about us and our hobby. 2
oCMANo Posted Friday at 09:26 PM Posted Friday at 09:26 PM (edited) Thanks @Calvin.Pimax Updated to 1.41.1 but broke the mbuccia's QV https://github.com/mbucchia/Quad-Views-Foveated/wiki on my machine. DCS would just hang at the first screen. Reverted to 1.40.4 seemed to fix the issue. If anyone needs it https://dlappstore.pimax.com/release/play/PimaxPlaySetup_Release_ToC_V1.40.4.138_202507171814.exe Edited Friday at 10:01 PM by oCMANo 3 ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 White Edition Mid-Tower Compute, Intel Core i9-13900K, ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero, MSI Suprim GeForce RTX 4090 24GB , CORSAIR DOMINATOR 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 5600, Corsair HX Series, HX1200, 1200 Watt, CORSAIR CW-9060058-WW iCUE H100i, 2X SAMSUNG 980 PRO Heatsink M.2 2280 2TB

Only fix was rolling Pimax Play back. Calvin.Pimax Posted yesterday at 05:44 AM Author Posted yesterday at 05:44 AM Yes, I spoke with a few other users, and it seems that Pimax OpenXR is not working with mbucchia’s QV. The only workaround at the moment is to use PimaxXR with his QV. I’ve already submitted this bug to the development team. 2
paul2437 Posted yesterday at 11:09 AM Posted yesterday at 11:09 AM Hi Calvin Is this also for the OG Crystal as it seems to be forgotten.
Gun Jam Posted yesterday at 03:13 PM Posted yesterday at 03:13 PM has the issue with remembering "room scale" or "play space" been fixed yet? I remember people were saying they were having to re enter the boundary for their working enviroment all the time and just removing the HMD could break tracking. I haven't heard many complaints about this recently so I'm not sure if it was fixed or if everyone just gave up hope. Thanks
Rufuz64 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) My experience after testing the new Pimax Play 1.41.1 QuadViews is now integrated, including settings options as in Companion. To avoid conflicts, I first uninstalled mbucchia QuadViews. Result: terrible ground stutter, which I didn't have before. I looked for a solution and made a few more attempts, but nothing worked. So I turned off QuadViews in Pimax Play and reinstalled mbucchia QV. Result: crashes. Like Calvin said, the new Pimax OpenXR is not compatible with mbucchia's QV. So rollback. Not so easy, since Pimax doesn't have a repository with old versions, not even decent patch notes. With luck, you can get a link from a Pimax employee. But what's the point of having a trash can? The last version was still in there. Then I put mbucchia QV back on and it ran like butter again. Conclusion: Half a day wasted. Stay away from the update for now.
