We know that there is enough documentation/data to create FF MIG-23 and SU-17/22.  As RAZBAM is effectively gone, can ED pick up the slack with missing FF REDFOR starting with the MIG-23 (after the MIG-29) and move onto the SU-17/22 if Octopus-G have given up on that module (speak to Octopus-G and obtain the model they were working on - it looked great in the videos they produced, before it went quiet).

And let us know what FF REDFOR are 'possible'

DCS is too BLUFOR heavy - balance is needed where able

I hope for a FF SU-24 at some point in the future but that might be a stretch

I feel like if the "credible" F35 module is liked by the customers, ED may consider recent Russian aircraft with "credible" level of simulation. For older aircraft like mig 23 or su 22, everything is possible. This is what I believe

CMs already stated the team responsible for other REDfor planes will be the MiG-29 team and that product must be successful.

Recent posts made clear there are intentions of making popular Russian jets and the F-35 has nothing to do with it. The only thing keeping ED from making them is workforce as of now as things seems to have switched from the past years. They just need to get the 29A out of the door and the community that begs for redfor aircraft needs to buy it.

The SU17M4 would be the perfect aircraft for DCS. Very fast, good avionics, and capable of carrying powerful weapons, such as the KH29T, KH59 cruise missile, and KH58 anti-radar missile. But there's no official confirmation, is there?

The mig23ml/a/d is needed so that the F4 and F1 have an equal opponent.

Remember has some proyects on the Redforce side by ED and some 3rd Parties:

  • ED: Mig-29A
  • Dekka: J-8II
  • Octopus-G: La-7 / Po-2 / Su-17/22 (planned)
  • Red Star: Mig-17F

I thought the whole reason why we don't have many Russian style redfor is because of some stupid Russian law. But yeah making an attempt on the most classified aircraft for DCS so the whole to world to use makes sense.

But I would take even a ton of flaming cliff style red air.

@Silver_Dragon You are correct the Mig-29A will be release soon. This full-fidelty module will be a welcome change. Dekka has no release any new information lately J-811 jet. It is not clear how this upcoming module will be received in the DCS community.  Hopefully, Dekka will release an update before the end of 2025. Red Star Simulations is working diligently on the Mig-17. The Mig-17 is more likely to be at home on a Vietnam Map, a Korean map, or possibly the Sinai map. I am eagerly waiting for an update on the Mig-21 bis version 2.0 update.

I ran a poll not long ago on my channel to see where people are in regards to buying the MiG-29. It received 649 votes, a majority of players are waiting to see how it turns out. Hoping ED can make it work. But a Fox 1 fighter in a heavily dominated blue air Fox 3 environment is not great. Especially when the Russian fox 1s in DCS are not good compared to a sparrow. I honestly think that's holding people back.

Even if we got a modern red fox 3 aircraft the R77 isn't good compared to a 120. The JF-17's SD-10s used to be good.

Sorry, I didn't see this. Do you know where I can find this and what popular Redfor aircraft they want to do except for the already planned one? I will not take this as a true thing but as a rumor to stick on it

If you posted this 1 week ago, I could link you the conversation on the Razbam situation thread. Now the old posts are deleted.

DM Lineline or BIGNEWY to get the info.
