Firebugs Posted yesterday at 03:24 AM Posted yesterday at 03:24 AM (edited) I preferred prior to this update when you could angle them to look behind you and not just skewed views of my own face. Edited yesterday at 03:25 AM by Firebugs 1
GTFreeFlyer Posted yesterday at 05:59 AM Posted yesterday at 05:59 AM Ooh I didn’t realize you can’t tilt them anymore. Yes, that was cool. Didn’t play with the tilt today. I did notice the new face, and liked it for immersion, but when I turned off the pilot body, I was surprised to still see the face in the mirrors. Wish that was linked to the pilot body show/hide. OmasRachE Posted yesterday at 11:01 AM Posted yesterday at 11:01 AM Thats the same in jets, hiding the body does not hide the helmet in the mirror.

Their FoV was weird before. 8 hours ago, Firebugs said: I preferred prior to this update when you could angle them to look behind you and not just skewed views of my own face. The top mirror isn't too bad. The problem is the side mirrors, especially in VR where you likely have to turn your head to see them properly. The pilot's head moves too much, and even with small movements he leans way out into the mirror and blocks the view.

Yeah but the players head is quite sluggish, so there is a split second were you can see the mirror image clearly if you make fast head movements. But please consult your spine doktor first, if you are over 40 years old.
Rhayvn Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Angling the mirrors does not change the reflection angle. That's the problem. It just makes them appear to be thinner or wider. It is definitely broken. You can actually adjust them normally but only downwards for the top one and inwards for the side mirrors. But angle them outwards and they stop changing the point of view at artificial points. Edited 17 hours ago by Rhayvn 1

Now they stay looking basically the same direction and mostly it's at my face, which is annoying/distracting when the pilot avatar moves.
HotTom Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Put 'em back the way they were WITHOUT the pilot. The reflection looks very cartoonish. Exceptional engineering...and a large hammer to make it fit!
