NightFlier Posted September 11 Posted September 11 (edited) Hi guys, I'm wondering if someone is able to edit the cockpit color to a more suitable and realistic one. There are some options on ED site but they don't look good (too clean, wrong color, flat details etc.). Is anyone able to edit it? I'm looking for something like this but keeping some weathering on: Thanks for your help! Other systems, FM etc. are up to the dev team. They are either too clean or the color is not the correct one or too bright. We need a weathered cockpit (not new) but with the color as per picture posted. The Mig-21 has a lot of issues but, to me, this should be at the bottom of the list. 1 hour ago, NightFlier said: We need a weathered cockpit (not new) but with the color as per picture posted. (I already placed a request on the Skinners Discord, no one replied). That's why I posted here and not under Bugs / problems. "We" means that me and other friends need it cause we are going to fly several cold war missions with the 21 in the upcoming months. MiG21bisFishbedL Posted yesterday at 04:51 AM Posted yesterday at 04:51 AM So, the MiG-21's cockpit color varies quite a bit between individual airframes. It's always some hue of blueish green. But, they always just used whatever paint they had on hand at depots for that purpose and it was never totally uniform across the various fleets. And this was during the Soviet days, let alone the various modernization programs throughout the 90s until recent. They'd mix it close as they could and call it good. So, there really isn't a singular 'definitive' cockpit color. There was a number of hues utilized. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
