rayon89 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 DCS 2.9.20.15384 Hello, I would like to report that after the latest update I am experiencing a severe performance issue. The problem appears even before launching the game: from the moment the launcher is opened on the desktop until the initial screen shows up, it takes an unusually long time. Once inside the game, performance is very poor, with constant stuttering that makes it practically impossible to play normally. Before this update the game was running fine, so this issue seems directly related to the recent changes. Could you please look into this problem? Thank you. DxDiag.txt dcs.log
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Did you clear the FXO and Metashaders2 folder? And while at it, it’s not a bad idea to clear the DirectX shader folder in Windows too. Those are solid first steps to start diagnosing problems… 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with 20cm S-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
AdrianL Posted September 27 Posted September 27 You have a lot of recompilation happening. And errors from your mods. Run a DCS repair and clear your FXO / Meta shaders. If that does not help, remove mods 1
Hiob Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Quite the opposite here. Noticeable better loading times and switching between map and views. (Game performance was already good). I disable all mods before an update though and haven’t enabled them yet. 1 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
rayon89 Posted September 28 Author Posted September 28 Even though the game might work fine for others, that does not necessarily mean it is running properly for everyone. Unfortunately, after completely removing all mods and launching the game in a clean state, the issues persist. From the moment I double-click the desktop shortcut until the launcher appears, the process takes an unusually long time. Once inside the game, performance degradation is clearly noticeable, with stuttering and reduced responsiveness. This indicates that the problem is not mod-related but rather seems to be tied to the game itself after the latest update.

When moving the cursor in external views, there are obvious performance issues. If it doesn’t work smoothly on a regular screen, in VR those stutters become extremely annoying."

This only (or typically) occurs when moving the mouse? Might be experiencing the mouse polling issue that some users still get with updates.... Recommend ruling it out at least by dropping the polling rate in your mouse software to below 1000, try 500 and even 250 or 125 to see if it changes anything. rayon89 Posted September 29 Author Posted September 29 Yes, but it seems that if I delete all the mods, it doesn't happen, if I keep any mod, and I mean any, this happens
jack333 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Hi, something similar is happening to me since the last update.
