This Sucks. After this 11 install, bios update. I was updating DCS and thought my computer went to sleep. NO. Now at startup the computer boots then shuts down 3 times then starts and gives me a 55 code. During the shut downs I get a 52 code. That it stuck on 55 code.

Asus ROG STRIX Z590-E I7 with EVGA 3080. This is not good. Where do I start.

Some internet reports say  that on that type of motherboard an error code 55 means that your ram is not installed. It's either not plugged in all the way. Take out both sticks, and put them in by applying even force on the top and bottom of the stick until you hear a click sound. If it doesn't work try using only one stick.

IIRC, the 55 error code is memory related(?). Could be wrong profile of RAM or it not being loaded.

Now, I'm not sure if you've changed anything in the BIOS after updating it.
Regardless, on that motherboard, if you've updated to the correct latest BIOS, then I'd enter the BIOS and do these simple steps:

1) Load Optimized Defaults (press F5), then save and reboot (press F10).
Enter the BIOS once again after that.

2) Upon entering BIOS again, go to "Advanced Mode" (press F7) and on the top of screen go to "Extreme Tweaker".
     You'll see this screen:

Check what setting is in the "AI Overclock Tuner".
If it's on "Auto" change it to either "XMP II" or "XMP I" (see which one of the two works best for you).

If confused on "what is the difference between the two?"
- "XMP II" is the default profile (most commonly used) provided by the memory vendor for your specific RAM kit.
- "XMP I" is an alternative validated board profile by the memory vendor and ASUS (the manufacturer of your motherboard) for your specific RAM kit.

After changing that, press "F10" to save changes and exit (it'll reboot), see if it's now booting correctly.

If it's still not booting correctly, make sure the memory sticks (RAM) are physically placed in correct slot in the motherboard (shutdown the computer and cut the power in the PSU before that!), as image below:

Or it could be something as simple as incorrect boot device priority, for the Operating System.
This can be changed easily in "EZ Mode" of BIOS (see image below), which is the main panel once you enter the BIOS (or press F7 if in "Advanced Mode").
You'll see "Boot Priority" on the right of the screen, just change it to the drive where you have Windows installed. Press "F10" to save any changes and exit.

So? Does that means that your pc is immune to hardware faults? Check its ram module’s seating, try it either just one module, you’ve got nothing to lose.

Did it boot properly after the BIOS update? If no, did the BIOS update went OK?
If not, look no further than that because upgrading to Win11 before let you boot and play (although with performance issues).
If you can't get into the BIOS clear the CMOS either through a jumper or by pulling out the battery.
Still error 55 after that, as provided above, check RAM seatings and or faulty modules.

I reinstalled the ram. No good. Yes after the bios update the computer would start. I played DCS several times. I was updating DCS to the lates version and the computer appeared to go to sleep (that setting is turned off) then this happened. It has done it once before but i was able to get the computer back on.

Did you try each RAM module one by one?
Still error 55?

Free professional advice: Do not rely upon any advice concerning computers from anyone who uses the terms "beast" or "rocking" to refer to computer hardware.  Just...don't.  You've been warned.

While we're at it, people should stop using the term "uplift" to convey "increase".  This is a technical endeavor, we're not in church or at the movies - and it's science, not drama.
