@BIGNEWY   I'm on the quest pro get rid of the nose cutout its horrible every time I look down at the SA Page I start to get cross eyed.  I got a ride in the viper years ago with the O2 mask on and the visor down I dont remember any gap like that. Granted this is no hmd set up so I m sure there are some differences.

With the mod on, it appears as dirt when the helmet visor is down, like a kind of barely perceptible mesh or stains that are there. When you lift the visor or without the mod, this 'blur' is not visible

In my quick test i didn´t notice anything unusual on my side. But tomorrow i will do a sortie and i will test it further.

Feel free to equip the regular helmet and check again if it fits with your RL experience: ED gave us visors for both types.

I was testing it, and as another user mentioned, the P-51 pilot also has that effect, even though he doesn't wear goggles or a helmet; it seems to be a new addition. It's very subtle; I only noticed it because I'm observant. But it's not from the fix.

This visor thing being made mandatory is ridiculous. There is now a nose gap visible which adds a secondary virtual nose gap to the actual nose gap of my VR headset completely ruining the experience. The tint is a waste of time as well and also now if you toggle the visor off it just gets pushed up where some other part of the visor is now blocking my view and the helmet sight disappears. On top of all this, when the visor is up, some kind of faint outline of a rectangle is visible in the view area.

This isn't real life. Its hard enough to see in computer game as it is compared to real life without the need to darken everything with a fake tinted visor!

I get the idea but this is completely unneeded and a total waste of development time. Please give us an option to remove. I hate it.

You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but personally I like the tint.  Sun isn't quite so blinding any more depending where you're facing especially when it's not possible to move your hand to block it or something.  The actual tint isn't a "fake" thing, it's what's there IRL and if you lift it you don't get HMD.  Sounds like for some people with VR there could be some tweaks, but I'd be disappointed if they remove it.  And "options" are great, but EVERY SINGLE OPTION will cause at a minimum a tiny impact on performance (or maybe a bigger one) all of which add up over time, so I understand why ED is reluctant to add them.

The tint looks totally fake on a computer screen or VR lenses to me. We play around with gamma settings and discuss visibility on a screen ad nauseam and then add this nonsense. You like it, that's fine. Just give others and me the option to remove it like so many other options in this game.

Meanwhile i use this mod so i can fly in VR. It removes tne 3D rendition of the new visor nose gap border and the rendition of the helmet on top of the FOV. It won´t disable the tint visor, only the visor borders, that to me was the worst part in VR (very unconfortable). Either case here´s the mod if you want to try it:
