Kroll Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 (edited) Will we be able to see around the seat and look between the tails or into the engine inlet with an IR track? Thx Edited September 2, 2009 by Kroll
GGTharos Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Yes. Just like with the Ka-50, you will get a 6DOF cockpit. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
L4key Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 But then if your looking behind you, ie at your engines - how do you see your monitor to look at them?? ED could just say it was a feature but you'd never know!! :megalol: I don't have TiR BTW...

ED could just say it was a feature but you'd never know!! :megalol: I don't have TiR BTW... Lol :megalol: You put a mirror behind you so that when you look back you can see your monitor reflection in the mirror. ;) 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kaptein_Damli Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 But then if your looking behind you, ie at your engines - how do you see your monitor to look at them?? ED could just say it was a feature but you'd never know!! :megalol: I don't have TiR BTW... Track IR is amplifing the view so if you move your head to say like right (90 degrees) you see your six o clock. Here is a video of it: My moviemaking channel at YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/RobertDamli
topol-m Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009  Actually instead of mirror a better solution is the use of second monitor which will display the web cam image of the first one: 2 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

blaster454 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Now that is absolutely brilliant!! I would have never thought of the webcam/dual-monitor approach. Now, a question. My monitors are 1613 x 922 and 5405 x 1029. Can anyone provide the lua code for my multi-monitors setup? I want to display the ABRIS and Schkval on just the webcam! Help please!! :helpsmilie: Please note that this is sarcasm :smilewink: ... I really don't have two monitors and would not want to figure the aspect ratios if I did :megalol: WH_Blaster (Larry) US Air Force (Retired, 1961-1981) Join us for fun with the DCS series and other games at the War Hawks Squad website ... we are a mature gaming group that enjoys realism and having fun! http://war-hawks.net System: i7=950 @ 3.3 GHz, GA-X58-UDR3 MB, 6GB RAM, GTX770, 256GB system SSD, 128GB gaming SSD, TIR5, TM HOTAS WH, HannsG 28-in, Acer 23-in touch screen.
joey45 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Whats up with the radioactive stuff dude? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. bumfire Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Whats up with the radioactive stuff dude? CRT Tv's and Monitors give off very light background radiation, whether it is detectable and can affect the health of humans is debatable, but all CRT tv's and monitors release radiation to some degree or another, newer sets are much more safer, read, release less amounts of the stuff than sets from the 50s upto the 70s, but they still release different types of radiation to some degree or another.
