Spider76 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Hi to BS pilots there, im learning this sim bit by bit as time goes by ... success in my devolment in this week is: - trim function (still need be caution when entering to hover & AP and disengage from it etc..) - set your HSI Cauge correctly ! (or else your AP will read that datum/data as true data, when engage it, margin of error there, pilots!) - with trim i noticted that i can fly and enjoy views (scenery) and the workload dropped to minimun after that - less work - more fun and time .. - autopilot love it as much trim function.. over in all im just amazed of this game and the level of scenery detail ... yes Black Shark is my new home in gaming so is the the Tom Clancy . Ravenshied game a other home 4 me - even that game is old cos coop playing is good and fun. long live Black Shark in ED/Black Shark/and its Gaming community to 2015..and beyond :) 1 ::ASRock 4Core1333::Intel Quad Q6600 2.4 GHZ::OCZ DDR2 Reaper HPC Edition 4 GB::Club3D 9800GT 1GB Green Edition::Acer LCD 19":: Nexus 400W::Vista Ultimate SP2::Saitek X36F & X35T Joystick::Youtube::Spider´s Channel::Suomi-Finland :-) ::
VMFA117_Poko Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Beyond for sure! :) The DCS journey has just started. Next stop - A-10C!!! I'm glad you like it as we do. 1
Speedbrake Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 At least if you are currently "flying" LOMAC you will have the flight mechanics down - after that it is the systems and switchology to learn. Piece of cake!
Endoplasmic Reticulum Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Yeah bro. It seems you're exactly swimming in the same waters where I swim too. Realism is key, so what do you play then?!?!?!?! BS and Raven Shield (and Falcon 4, of course)!!! Glad you like/love it. Welcome to our kerosene smelling world and to your new workingplace: the cockpit!:pilotfly::joystick: I used to love her, but I had to kill her I had to put her, six feet under And I can still hear her complain A tribute to BBetty and NNadja :bye_3:
EvilBivol-1 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Welcome aboard, Spider. Glad you are enjoying the sim! If you can, try finding somebody to hook up with online. Faster and more fun that way. Try the Multiplayer section of the forum. 1 - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
Endoplasmic Reticulum Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Spider!! Guess what this noise is... "Kachunk!!!" I just closed the door of your cockpit. The only way out is by your ejection-seat ;). Have fun man. I used to love her, but I had to kill her I had to put her, six feet under And I can still hear her complain A tribute to BBetty and NNadja :bye_3:
Bucic Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Don't give up. Anytime you will feel that you loose your strenght cheer up by watching this video of two helpless guys struggling to lift off during an MP session (look at 8:30 for example). Guys who didn't even think of reading anything, I must add. Rumor has it that it took them 2 hours to lift off... and start crashing. Ooooohyeaaah...:bored: F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close

Pyroflash Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 that was... interesting. Anyways, welcome to the black shark, hope you have a blast. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

Pyroflash Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Nay, not even the Collective, he hadn't gotten that far yet. At that point he was still looking for the throttle :) If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
Bucic Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Nay, not even the Collective, he hadn't gotten that far yet. At that point he was still looking for the throttle :) I understand those guys, truly. No, really. It's very hard to find the throttle when you don't know if it's either a toggle switch, a button or a knob :D One more thing - one of them claims that they both are pilots in RL. My prayers go to inhabitants of the area they "operate"... Pyroflash Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 I hope its not near me, I would hate to get rammed by them just because they can fly a complex aircraft and I am just a student pilot... If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
159th_Viper Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Then again - they might be more than competent Black Shark Pilots, who in a moment of Boredom decided to take the Pi$$ and create a 'Spoof' vid and chuckle at all the folks who actually fall for it, take them seriously and berate them for their apparent lack of 'Flight Intelligence' ;) Just because It Walks like a Duck, Squawks like a Duck and Dumps like a Duck does not necessarily make it a Duck...........:D :pilotfly: 1 Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Endoplasmic Reticulum Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Guys! This video is hillarious:megalol:. So this is what one calls "learning by doing" right? Finding the right knob or button in the cockpit can be like searching for a pen in a messies appartment ;). I love this video. You can really see the sweat dropping from the "pilots" forehead. Absolutely great are the views outside the cockpit. On the right, the ejecting pilot and on the left the helicopter with the drunken pilot getting out of control and crashing. A masterpiece. Reminds me of "Police Academy". Call that server "Black Shark Academy" so everyone knows what awaits them there. Not "Reading The FINE Manual" can be so much fun :megalol:. I used to love her, but I had to kill her I had to put her, six feet under And I can still hear her complain A tribute to BBetty and NNadja :bye_3:

Hyvää sharkkausta :) Yah, BS is the most f***king incredible simming experience that I've ever experienced - yah, well, OK, it's not as if I'm a veteran when it comes to sims and that, so I'm no-one to say really, but still... far as I've understood still there's no place where you could, say, go and buy a better PC / game chopper flight model... or is there? PMs only please if you're the competition :P The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

kaiserb_uk Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Funnily enough, the RL pilot in our little cabal was able to, on his own and without RTFM, fire up the APU and engines and get airborne (and lose a rotor) in a short while. 'Real life pilots' my arse, they don't sound old enough to drive let alone fly.
