159th_Viper Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Recently Installed LockOn again after an absence and encountered a peculiarity in that the Slew Speed of the Targeting Marker in the HUD/Shkval of the T-Toad moves too fast when slewed with the default [;,./] keys, so much so that it makes Accurate/Hasty locking of Targets almost impossible as it is constantly overshooting due to the Speed/Sensitivity of the Input via the TM Cougar. Any way one can tone down the Speed of the Slewing, either In-Game or via Foxy? Assistance Appreciated :) Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Boulund Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I use a X52 Pro but I set my hat-switch so that it taps the move keys at a suitable rate when I hold the hat in a position. So I recorded a single stroke and replay it as a repeating macro so to speak.. Maybe this is possible on the cougar as well? 104th_Crunch Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Another idea is to set your mini-stick if you can, to act as the mouse, then setup LO to use the mouse to control the Targeting Marker. 1

Sorry for going a bit off topic, but that must be applicable to the X52 Pro as well? =D never thought of that idea. I'll have to give it a go. Boberro Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Viper, try use old good mouse instead. I use this and I decide what speed TD has ;]. Very useful in combat, especially A-A with Vikhrs. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Boulund Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Setting it to mouse axes works perfectly. Thanks for the great tip! Too bad you can't do the same for Black Shark (or at least I didn't find a way) Core i5-760 @ 3.6Ghz, 4GB DDR3, Geforce GTX470, Samsung SATA HDD, Dell UH2311H 1920x1080, Saitek X52 Pro., FreeTrack homemade cap w/ LifeCam VX-1000, Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1. Too bad you can't do the same for Black Shark (or at least I didn't find a way) I am trying to do this, Iam looking for script examples in AutoHotKey application. I use it mixed with helmet - I mean I turn on helmet and script. It presses automatically O key and I slew TV via mouse. But it is not same like in LO. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. I use it mixed with helmet - I mean I turn on helmet and script. It presses automatically O key and I slew TV via mouse. But it is not same like in LO. I'm quite OK with my current config, where I've got a small macro programmed in my SST-software that continually taps the slew-keys in the direction I want to slew with my HAT-switch. I've even programmed the macro so that I can slew diagonally rather well. It works OK but granted, it'd be a lot better with real axes to play around with! PoleCat Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 For my cougar I use the following statement: MIX 5 17 (0 6 12 18 24 29 35 41 47 53 59 65 71 76 82 88 94 100)MSX(-40)MSX(-30)MSX(-20)MSX(-12)MSX(-7)MSX(-4)MSX(-2)MSX(-1)MSX(0)MSX(1)MSX(2)MSX(4)MSX(7)MSX(12)MSX(20)MSX(30)MSX(40) MIY 5 17 (0 6 12 18 24 29 35 41 47 53 59 65 71 76 82 88 94 100)MSY(40)MSY(30)MSY(20)MSY(12)MSY(7)MSY(4)MSY(2)MSY(1)MSY(0)MSY(-1)MSY(-2)MSY(-4)MSY(-7)MSY(-12)MSY(-20)MSY(-30)MSY(-40) then I set Device "Mouse" "Axis": Axis0 to TDS slew horizontal and Axis1 to TDS slew vertical. 159th_Viper Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 Ta All :) Managed with the Following statement: [USE MTYPE A3] with T1 designated as the Left Mouse-Button thanx to the Foxy Wizard. S77th-konkussion Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I also use CH- and I have the same issue. Apparently- FPS is the problem. High performance= high FPS = high speed. I set it to mouse as well, and although it's not completely satisfactory, here's what I've done: lowered the character rate in CHM (47) if there is a sensitivity setting- drop it down big time. (10) before flight- control panel\mouse\pointer options\ slide to slowest setting LOMAC has a key for slowing cockpit mouse speed (alt+rightshift) Still fast, but much improved. It varies with the plane. Quick, but very useable for fighter (SU33) Kind of difficult in SU25T. Even varies with the zoom level. There is supposedly a script for it too- but I don't know where to find it, or how to implement it. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Stratos Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 (edited) Is not possible to slow the Target Designator speed without altering the joystick profiles? Want to say changing a parameter withing Lomac itself. Or maybe this problem was fixed in FC2.0? Edited April 10, 2010 by Stratos I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
