Thanks for the link, interesting stuff. Can imagine these are a PIA to shoot down (and you'd reveal your position even before you did). Is this possible to use as a weapon at section level? 450Grams..

 

Btw, I wonder if birds of prey will be used again? This time it's not messenger pigeons they need to catch, but quite close..

The control system looks very similar to this Russian "Inspector" UAVs. Note the high tech Logitech pad. :D

What is the purpose of the Archos media player above the gamepad ? recording footage ?

I saw this at a military trade show (ITEC) - http://www.cyberflightuavs.com/

 

Key points:- Option of an electric motor so you can not hear it when it is high. Clever sensor software so you can lock onto a target/person and the sensor tracks the target without you having to fiddle with the view controls.

Looking at that all, there is a chance the next AAA gun would be a classic double rifle, although its flight path will be less predictable than that of a duck. ;-)
