S77th-GOYA Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 How can I set it back to where it was in 1.02? It's just too far away now, and I can't read the HUD very well. I'm asking about the 15, but I know there are some Su drivers that want the old default back as well.
TekaTeka Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Go to the link and see my second post in the thread. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=6684 You might want to go here, too. It's about the view center direction. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=7452 (I am doing this again and again. This topic should be sticky.) S77th-GOYA Posted April 9, 2005 Author Posted April 9, 2005 Thanks, TT I agree, there will be a lot of people asking for this, so a sticky would be in order. But, all the helpful posts need to be consolidated so we don't have 25 stickies.
Dmut Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 about making it sticky - soon I'll translate a whole FC FAQ from there http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=7246 "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." For the F-15, scroll down to the bottom of the file and locate the following lines: Snap[8][13]["viewAngle"] = 88.727844238281 Snap[8][13]["vAngle"] = -9.6784505844116 Snap[8][13]["hAngle"] = 0 The first line is for the zoom level. To zoom-in cockit view, change the 88.xx to a lower value....you can try changing "88" to e.g. "65"(never mind all the decimals) :) The second line is for adjusting the vertical view angle - e.g. if you change it to something silly like -29.xxx, you will enter the cockpit looking straight down at the flight stick. However, you might need to make slight adjustments to this view angle after having changed the zoom level. The third line is for adjusting the horizontal view angle - the "0" value sets the view to looking straight ahead, so you probably dont want to change that. For clarification - the [8] bit indicate the aircraft type. The codes are: [1] Su-27 [2] Su-33 [3] Su-25 [4] Su-25T and Su-25TM [5] MiG-29 [6] MiG-29K [7] A-10 [8] F-15 So if you want to change the cockpit view angles e.g. for the MiG-29, the lines look like this: Snap[5][13]["viewAngle"] = 81.240005493164 Snap[5][13]["vAngle"] = -9.5 Snap[5][13]["hAngle"] = 0 - JJ. S77th-GOYA Posted April 9, 2005 Author Posted April 9, 2005 For the 15, these settings are pretty much the old view: Snap[8][13]["viewAngle"] = 77.727844238281 Snap[8][13]["vAngle"] = -13.6784505844116 Snap[8][13]["hAngle"] = 0 They are at the very end of the file.
S77th-Paralyzer Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can post the values for the other jets (SU, MIG, A-10 and SU-25) to get the default view back. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks in advance for your reply. You can look into \Config\View\sanpviewsdefault.lua. The file contains the default values, so you can copy and paste any line you like onto sanpviews.lua. And it would be better you make a backup before you modify something. ;) I have a copy of the entire LockOn folder for safety. TekaTeka from Japan [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Visit my site Beyond Visual Range.

TekaTeka Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Thanks for replying Teka teka. What I meant was the values to get the cockpit view from 1.02. Thanks again! Ah! I see it now. :icon_redf In 1.02, there is only one common setting for all flyable aircraft. The default view angle is 60 and the default "vAngle" is -9.5 . But the height of the view point is a bit lower in 1.02, so the same "vAngle" does not make exact same view in 1.1 . Your sitting height is higher in 1.1 . Any devs reading this? :)
Prophet_169th Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 I have been looking for these values also. Thanks Teka Teka and everyone else. Its annoying being in a Mig and using HMTD mode with trackir, and the circle not being in the center or where you are looking. Feels like I am always looking down my nose LOL.
