RogueSqdn Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 Just woke up.. tried it. No task was using more than 10% other than System Idle, while was beween 80 and 97. First I tried unplugging the network cable and then running the game. No dice, still had delays. Then I changed the desktop resolution to 1024x768 32 bit and set the game running while I went for my shower. It was still loading when I got back. That was about 10 minutes. EDIT: Gotta go to work now... I'll be back later today (just letting you know, since with the time zone differences there might be confusion). Left if running while I went out to mow the lawn.... still hasn't loaded yet. :( As for the Catalyst drivers, after I realized 5.4 was out I upgraded, but it didn't help. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try older drivers. Looking in DXDIAG, my BIOS is dated 12/12/03, so I'll try and find an update for that as well. I have a DXDIAG text file saved, but it's too big to post at once. I'll email that to team@lockon.ru if necessary. Prophet_169th Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 What does windows report for RAM? Run a RAM benchmark or analyzer, maybe a bad stick? I see you have 1.5G? Is that 3 512M, or is there a 1G in there? Either way, downgrade to 1GB. If you have 3 512M, rotate the one out.

Run + msconfig Get us a screenshot of the Services tab (with Hide all MS services box checked) Do the same for the Startup tab (slide the location column over far enough that we can read the whole of the Command column) Maybe someone will see something we can have you check out a bit further.

Shepski Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Holy crap Jared!!! I have 9 items checked in my services list and 11 in my start up list. Your system is massively bogged down!! When you access the task manager(CTRL-ALT-DEL), how many proccess are running? I have 33 running at this time and that's with my anti-virus and anti-spyware running which accounts for 5. When I run Lock On I usually am down to only 24 proccess running.
