blaster454 Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 Thanks, Icarus2. This one will have to wait ... 30 Euros shipping is a bit of an over charge, methinks! Vekkinho Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Indeed, 32€ is a bit too much, but similar price is for shipping it from Netherlands to Croatia! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
CyStriker Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Gents: I ordered mine yesterday from a German company... total in USD (devalued:<( ) $144.00! Shipping was $44.00... but I must have ... TM should work with FOXY and come out with a ICP which can program the MFDs to allow for programing the keys for each of the primary (5) screens and the the .,.. 5? submenu screens.... Rol

digital_steve Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Love to hear feedback about these, as they look to be great bits of kit AMD Phenom II 965 BE @ 3.8GHz, 8GB OCZ AMD BE RAM, ATI HD5970 2GB XFX BE @ 875/1215, TM HOTAS Cougar, TM Cougar MFDs, TrackIR 5, CH MFP, GoFlight Switch Panel, iMo Mini-Monster Touch, Mimo 720S, Saitek Pro Flight Headset
Kuky Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Ordered mine from Germany also few days ago EUR51 for products, EUR49 for shipping... definitely a rip off for shipping but since I want it and have it no where here in Australia have no choice :) expecting it sometimes next week (got shipped status email yesterday) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
IvanK Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) Bought a pair last week. Plugged in under Win7. Didnt install any of the supplied TM drivers. I am only using a single unit at the moment. LOMAC found it programming super easy. Took all of about 5 mins from out of the box and flying. Great product imo Edited December 11, 2009 by IvanK 1
CyStriker Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Ivank: Is the insert one of the ones that comes with the products? What does the CON and Sym mean and are used for? I am looking forward to setting up my TH HOTAS and these items... back to Falcon4. I never got past learning how to land last time I was playing it. I decided not to jump into missions until I relearned the basics and could do them well. I have the Uber2 for the TM Cougar stick and they are sitting in the box for over a year!!! Man have I gotten lazy:<) Rol
IvanK Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 The bottom image is a hand made insert, the top image comes in the pack. The CON and SYM switches are just normal selectable switches on the MFD using a rocker action rather than momentary press.
sweinhart3 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Con is for Contrast. I dont remember what Sym is for. Intel i7 990X, 6GB DDR3, Nvidia GTX 470 x2 SLI, Win 7 x64 http://picasaweb.google.com/sweinhart

Kuky Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Just a heads up... I got mine delivered yesterday (I ordered from Germany) which took about 2 weeks from order to delivery... have them plugged in since last night and all lights are buttons are working, nothing died on me yet :) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Icarus2 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Working MFD screens I put some TFT's behind them for working MFD's. This photo was my test run. Works in 2D only for F4AF, but 3D works in OF. It would be great for the DCS Warthog if the shared memory software gets written for it. The "on" light was too bright IMO, so I put a small sticker over it to reduce the glare. It still looks bright in this photo.

Icarus2 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Kuky are you flying a superviper and using the centre one for the pedistal display? Or is it a touch screen for the ICP?
Kuky Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I am using the centre screen (touchscreen) to display Ventrilo only at the moment, I am not using the MFD's for anything right now either as I want to wait for DCS (or maybe FC 2.0 will give this ability also) to display things like BlackShark does with Abris and Shkval... also I am not flying F4/OF/FF at all... maybe I will if they get new version soon with decent graphics PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR

Now I know why your stick is between your legs.:megalol: Jokes aside, I assumed you were flying F4, since you had all the screens set up and working. You think waaay ahead brother. As you know that setup works pretty well with F4 right now. Its really very cool locking up MAV's without a mouse or keyboard, and you are 80%+ there already with that setup. Ahhh the potential. Happy flying.:pilotfly:

It would be great for the DCS Warthog if the shared memory software gets written for it. DCS already implements shared memory for exporting displays ( and even mirrors ) You can do it in Black Shark already afaik. Raw switch data etc must be exported through lua though. S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
Kuky Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) Hey Kuky, given you're an Aussie too, where did you get the MFD's from? I posted that already in previous post http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=814541&postcount=18 They were delivered within a week, oh and I forgot to say, to order the monitors contact the guy (his name is Brantorn) by clicking on "Contact Now" link... what I did was send him an email asking for a quote with shipping to my address and that I wanted 2 of them (specify a model number) and he got back to me with quote (US$228 with shipping) and I emailed back that I wanted to order, he then gave me his PayPal account linked to his email, I paid the $228 and they shipped them 1-2 days after... they got me a tracking number and it was shipped by FedEx. @ Yoda, hm are you saying if you disable export.lua you can't run Abris/Shkval on secondary monitors? I would think they should work fine on default game as after all this kind of setup is part of the sim and doesn't require any extra programs like LEAVU, right?
